People watching this sort of film out of the blue may not be familiar with Seth Rogan, many people would presume he's fresh on the scene and new to this business but look harder at his face and you will recognise him from bit parts in older classics such as 40 year old Virgin, You me and Dupree and the legendary Anchorman. This is not to mention his writing credentials like Drillbit Taylor, Superbad and it may surprise people but farther back than that, Ali G in da USA. No, seriously.
Now this should go somewhere to explain where this little gem came from.
He is one of those actors who lets face it, isn't going to really fluctuate from role to role, but what he does give is characters that has a quality that most people ... Read More:

Marvelous. Take a transvestite writer producer, A, hasbeen Movie star, a bald headed wrestler, Wobbly sets, Paper plates on strings suspended from a, fishing rod,and a Rubber octopus. Throw in, a man who sleeps in a coffin and a few naff actors, and there could be only one man responsible, the late great," Ed wood Jnr". The eccentric movie maker, who earned the title of, "Worst movie maker ever". His movies are so bad, There brilliant, and, classic.
This film, tells the story of megalomaniac, Ed Wood. A, transvestite movie writer, trying to find, backers for the movies he writes, where, anyone with a bit of money, has a part in the film, whether they can act or not.and,Bringing back a faded Movie star.
I am not realy a Beatles fan I was born after the band split but this set tells the story of a band that still dominates the music scene. I liked the anthology on TV I like the music and the story behind the music. Brilliant.

Rarely does a motion picture capture an era with such nostalgia and reverence, as Woody Allen's "Radio Days". Set in New York City as World War 2 breaks; "Radio Days" captures the mood of the times through the music, drama, news, sports - and even the commercials that entertained and informed listeners in the days when radio ruled the media roost. Seen through the eyes of a young Jewish boy and his extended family in working class Brooklyn, the movie is really a series of well crafted vignettes, based on fact mixed with fiction. Some are hilarious, some touching, but always entertaining and filled with the great "Swing" music of the era. As usual, Allen's ensemble of actors deliver terrific turns as they recreate those great old days. Mia Farrow, Diane ... Read More:

I got this TV series in March this year and have watched the whole of it about three times since then. It is absolutely brilliant, if you have no experience in the period that it is set (the 80's) it makes no difference because the characters, storylines, and script are all put together so well.
The characters never get tiresome, although some of them are a little annoying this is just part of the brilliance of the show as it reflects real life. Plus the actors are great; it was an open-audition for the show so professional actors as well as amateurs will have auditioned, and so they got the best of what was out there.
The storylines in the series are very creative but not too outlandish (but I have to say the one disappointing episode for me was ... Read More:

This will be a very short review, because the point is... well, "The Point" is... it's one of those rare things that I feel is so perfectly and uniquely self-contained and wonderful that any attempt to describe it would harm it in some way. It just has to be watched.
I know that's a bit Zen, but that's how this film makes me feel. I love it! I wish it were on Region 2...

This not your average silly comedy with cheap humor and laughs , it tackles a very relevant problem , unwanted pregnancy , when the easiest thing is to have a termination Alison decodes to have a baby. The problem is that the future father is a complete misfit and is the opposite of the career minded and clean cut Alison.
There are some very real moments of authentic comedy and unexpected and good jokes. the movie is nearly 2 hours long.
Perhaps this movie will appeal more to young men who will enjoy the laughs more than women as there is not much romance in the movie.
Most of the secondary characters are priceless from the bitchy TV assistant to the crazy gynecologist.
The extras in the DVD are good fun ,the extra scenes are all excellent ... Read More:

Knocked up is not a bad film by any means. It is a bit of an odd one though, at times it tries to follow the gross humour of American Pie, then switches to being a serious film about relationships before going in another direction again. It sort of works though other than the fact that at 2 hours it is rather on the long side for this type of film. A couple of other points - Katherine Heigl looking pregnant is one of the best simulations I have seen, there are no long clothes here, you end up wondering if the large bump really is hers, they even show the baby coming out. A disapointment then is why she wasn't prepared to go topless in the sex scenes? I mean who does it with their bra on in bed? Also given that a part of the film is about a group of lads building a website about topless ... Read More:
