Wish Upon a Star [1996] (REGION 1) (NTSC)

starring: Katherine Heigl, Danielle Harris, Don Jeffcoat, Scott Wilkinson, Mary Parker Williams
directed by: Blair Treu
August 21, 2001

I remember watching this film when I about 13/14 and I loved it. Its along the lines of freaky friday but with sister rivalry and adhorrence, their actions to spite the other one has major comical outcomes.
If you enjoy a good cheesey chick-flick then this is deffinitely one to watch. Once a good film always a good film...its just killing me I don't have a multi-region DVD player. BRING IT OUT ON REGION 2 PLEASE!!!!
Enjoy...

DVD : Mr. Wonderful [1993] (REGION 1) (NTSC)

Mr. Wonderful [1993] (REGION 1) (NTSC)

starring: Matt Dillon, Annabella Sciorra, Mary-Louise Parker, William Hurt, Vincent D'Onofrio
directed by: Anthony Minghella
November 23, 1999

This is a slow burner, its elegance and warmth sneaks up on you wraps it self around you. New York City is as much a presence as the actors themselves.

Matt Dillon plays an electrican, trying to foist his stunning ex wife on a load of other suitors so he can reduced his alimony payments to her and move on with his life.

I dont want to spoil it too much but it really is a great movie with an excellent supporting case, Annabella Sciora never looked more elegant. Well worth watching, a gem.

Sarah's Child [1996]

directed by: Ron Beckstrom

This irritating and amateur production has two leads that would struggle to emote as convincingly as Dr. Drake Ramore in 'Days of Our Lives' The supporting cast, curiously, don't do half bad in their respective roles and come across rather like local residents ('filmed entirely in scenic Utah and Idaho') who've been coached pretty well, if a little over-earnest - so that the overall impression is that you're watching something cobbled together from three episodes of an 80's US afternoon soap that never made it in as they were a little too weird, which this is, but not in a good way.
Strangely, as the final debits rolled and I was trying to decide what antidote to apply I remembered having recorded the Nicole Kidman/Cameron Bright movie, ... Read More:

A faithful adaptation of the novel. Jones and Sarandon are excellent. Sometimes the diction could have been clearer.
