This film is so special, and as stated previously it has just about everything it needs to make it outstanding.
Right from the first moment I was hooked - the story carries you along, lifts you up and you're linked in to every emotion on the screen.
The characters are sympathetic but never over-the-top.
Okay, it's a woman's film, but even my husband enjoyed it, and said he could see it was a quality film. So, if you haven't seen it, what are you waiting for....Go Get It!!!

I love this film. It has something for everyone. It is funny and a gentle love story, with a great cast. I would suggest sitting down with the whole family to watch this one.

This is a wonderful film reflecting the true lives of two very different men who go on to make medical history. Its a great film that reminds us that success is often a test if fortitude and endurance. Perhaps the best aspect of the film revolves around the friendship between the 2 main characters and their individual journeys to success. Alfred Blalock and Vivien Thomas are remarkable characters of history but its Vivien Thomas who perhaps is the real jewel in the crowm in this story. A must watch.

I've seen this movie a couple of times over the years and thought it was decent. Like Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven, Bad Girls begins with the abuse of a prostitute whose vengeance sets the whole plot in motion. But in Bad Girls, plot development is synonymous with costume changes. Chaps, corsets, silks and flannel -- for women on the run who carry no baggage other than their historical baggage as former prostitutes, these four desperadoes scam more new outfits than a bevy of runway models. And at least one of them had to be packing a curling iron. But, okay, this is Hollywood after all, and what's the point of having four women starring in a movie if they don't at least look good, albeit illogical.
If this movie weren't so good, it would be unbearable. As it is, it's good enough to overcome a slow pace and a plot so depressing you might ask yourself, "Why am I still watching?"
The story is simple enough. A young man, Brad Whitewood, Jr. (Sean Penn) is a kid with no future, just spinning his wheels. He lives in a rural Pennsylvania town with his younger brother (Chris Penn), his mother and his grandmother. Every now and then his father, Brad, Sr. (Christopher Walken) shows up in a flashy car with a flashy woman to toss some money on the table. Brad, Sr. runs a gang and makes his cash by stealing. Young Brad sees a way out, maybe to a future. He also yearns for the approval and love of a father he never saw much of. Brad meets a young woman, ... Read More:
