Just got this from my brother for Christmas. BLEW MY MIND. watch it.
urm.
the extras are really funny and varied. they never break character.
Such a shame that this show isnt on anymore, most hilarious thing i've seen in ages. You may like this even if you dont like 'quirky' comedy like the mighty boosh by the way, i hate that but loved this.
well you'll either get it or you wont, if you dont, you're a fool.

Boosh is definitely one of those polarising comedy shows - the sort of thing your parents would briefly ponder with confused bewilderment, before declaring it "queer" and switching over to watch "Only Fools & Horses" series 159 on UKGoldSilverBronze+3 (oh Delboy! You're such a cheeky rogue, with your falling-through-an-open-bar antics!). On the other hand, because of the near-ridiculous level of devotion layered onto it by the horde of fanatical adherents, there is a danger that it could be over-hyped beyond any level of expectation that it could ever hope to fulfil. The best approach is to try to view the series with an open mind and forget anything you may have heard about it already.
This is part of the extended Garth Marenghi universe which you either know and love or gave up on when the show originally aired.
Richard Ayoade rocks with his dead pan delivery but unfortunately neither Matt Berry (in the cut-scenes) or Matthew Holness (as the guest every week) can match him.
If this had truly been a Dean Learner show and not a Matthew Holness vehicle then it could have been great. Unfortunately tying itself to Matthew Holness has dragged it down. Behind the scenes he'd be fantastic but in front of the camera we're unlikely to see anything better than his Darkplace.

In the world of comedy you do not have to be vulgar an offensive to make people laugh , in stead you can you use your imagination and create 3 very real characters and put them together in the basement of a corporation to run the IT support unit , the only tinny flaw is that they do not know anything about computers or life for that matter.
The result? The most original and funny comedy in Britain in many years, personally since Spaced. Others compare it to Father Ted or Black books but I feel this is better than the 2.
" Work outting " and " Dinner party " both of series 2 are the best 2 episodes of the first 2 series and they work very well as the 3 main cast interact brilliantly with each other ,the timing of the jokes is ... Read More:

I heard Bob Mortimer describe the Mighty Boosh's comedy as "joyous" and immediately realised that thats what makes it SO good. You're just watching naturally funny people on the same wavelength having a laugh, with some surreal plots and crazy costumes thrown in...and its the best comedy you'll ever see.

I am a fan of Matt Berry in Darkplace, Mighty Boosh, and Snuff Box. But for me there weren't enough satire and jokes to justify the length of the DVD. I'd recommend spending your time (and money) on some of Matts' other excellent comedy exploits instead. Though I'd put Matt's album Opium in the same category as this DVD.

Before buying this UMD, I had never even heard of the Mighty Boosh. This was the first UMD I ever bought, and at such a low price, I couldn't have complained even if I didn't like it. It turned out however, that I grew to love it, watching Howard and Vince (The geezer with the fabulous hairdo) go on strange yet wonderful adventures that get them into all sorts of hilarious situations. I really did think this was a good buy, just hope they bring out Series 2 on UMD soon...

This is such a hard film to review without spoling so I will be very careful. A convicted lunatic murderer who claims to be innocent and in fact the victim of something supernatural is taken back to the scene of his crime by a group of scientists in a attempt to confront his delusions for the purposes of a book to be written about him. Once there the supernatural happenings surrounding the Devil's Chair of the title begin to happen, sucking people into some sort of hellish alternate reality where they are preyed on by quite a startling semi-CGI demon creature. Now the tricky part: The film seems to be over the top and campy with some terrible acting which smacks of directorial ineptitue. But trust me, this is how it was meant to be and it's to achieve a specific aim. ... Read More:
