[ASIN:B001I0ITUY Little Britain U.S.A. 2008]
i suppose this was enevitable but it is very disappointing.
more than half is just recycled from the uk shows.
there should have been more new characters.
series 2 is already in production so let's hope they have some good ideas.
otherwise the future will be years of late night repeats on g.o.l.d.

If you want a complex storyline, oscar-winning performances, massive budget, big explosions, scantily-clad maidens, gratuitous violence and a cliff-hanger ending... do not watch this film.
If you want toilet humour, wry observation, fallible heroes, pop-culture references, puerile behaviour, a linear plot and a British film where the only bare flesh is being chewed by zombies... it doesn't sound all that good, does it? But it is. So buy it.

After three "regular" seasons, this short "abroad" show. If You love David and Matt (like actors ... of course ) don't miss the DVD. It's a politically incorrect show, mocking weakest people: disabled, poor, elderly, gay or fat. But David and Matt play their characters without "real" malice or racism. LB isn't a polite show, like MrBean: if you like the british Rowan Atkinson's humorism, don't buy this DVD.

This movie was set in the 80's. It's really more of a picture of todays world. Alot of people have said they like this film and it has gotten some great reviews. Also its been said you will either get this movie or you wont. I DIDNT. Bale is a handsome gye without a shadow of a doubt but he plays the most evil, superficial and shallow character iv seen in a long time in this rubbish. I had the feeling that we are sort of ment to like his character in a strange way or at least feel sorry for him but for me this was not the case. He's a gye with a beautiful shell and an ugly soul. In an era where the way you look seems to be the be all and the end all, this film played right into that frame of thought and im not all that sure that the film makers wanted to be ... Read More:

A comedy that begins brilliantly and is well sustained up to the shoot out in the garden centre, after which it becomes too plot heavy and the humour fizzles out. At its best when it is at its most surreal and most desolate (i.e. in the first half).

I loved the first two series of Little Britain - and the Little Britain Abroad special was good too, but I hate to say it really is getting rather tedious now - this is just the same old characters churning out the same old catchphrases. Even the couple of new characters they've included seem to grate on you after a couple of sketches. If they want to keep this going any longer they really need to give the whole thing a fresh look. Catchphrases are ok for so long, but you if you try to build a career on it, sooner or later you're going to come unstuck.

I can be fickle, I enjoyed the first season of little Britain. I didn't think it was original but it had a certain quality. Having enjoyed it, I looked forward to the 2nd series. I missed the first episode but heard it hadn't been very good. I later watched it and I could barely be bothered. Gone was any charm or wit, replaced by a load of terrible nob gags. You can only say its 'irony' so often. It might just be looking at the racist views of society or whatever but it isn't funny.
Also is there anything more depressing than when a comedy gets so popular humourless people quote it all the time. When every child on the bus is going 'I want that one' you know its time to move on and find a clever comedy not full of catchphrases

OK, I may be on my own on this one, but I just don't get it. How Tom Baker was ever coerced into appearing in this annoying dross is beyond me. Don't get me wrong, I love comedy - I'm a big fan of Eddie Izzard and Bill Bailey amongst others. But there is something wrong with this sketch show. After all the hype surrounding Little Btitain, my girlfriend bought me a copy of this series one DVD, but it just isn't to my taste. Favourable comparisons with great British sketch shows such as Monty Python's Flying Circus, The Two Ronnies and even more recent output such as Big Train and Mitchell & Webb's recent ventures are hugely unjust - this is a show that relies mainly on tacky innuendo and cheap catchphrases. It reminds me a lot of "When the Whistle Blows", the sitcom ... Read More:

I don't think I laughed at all and anyone who does think this is funny must be faking it to stop themselfs feeling embarrassed about buying this.
I really hope there won't ever be another series they might start using the old gags from the previous tv shows just like they did in this and lets face it was not funny hearing the dust gag again or the same vicky pollard at school sketch as used in the first series for a second time.
I was worried about buying this and my worries were officially confirmed when I had been watching it for 10 minutes.
