I don't normally bother to write reviews, but in this case I felt I had to. I have to say previous reviews made it look like this was something worth watching, some even contained comments like "well written". In reality this is not an adult comedy, it will only appeal to someone who is 13 or has a mental age of that or less. Poorly written, improbable characters mixed up with punch lines that are so obvious (and unfunny) it makes you want switch off and stop having your intelligence Insulted. I have to admit I didn't make it to the 2nd or 3rd series as my copy ended up in the bin after only 4 episodes. If this was deemed a classic of the 90's I'm now glad I was overseas the whole time. If this is the best ITV could come up with back then, no ... Read More:

This was one of the funniest series of the 90s and i find it a bit sad how it has now been nearly completely forgotten! I thought the first series was much better than the second two, primarily because Ben Chaplin was so brilliant as the sarcarstic, cutting house mate. His constant put downs of Martin and piss takings of Mandy were brilliant. The replacement actor Neil Stuke just lacked that certain something and it was never the same again. A must see!

Just noticed it came out on DVD after waiting so many years. I even thought it would never come on DVD... There's a God and he has a huge sense of humor... !
This was the best serie on earth ! I had so much fun watching and learning some colorful vocabulary !! If you want to laugh like crazy on a depressing day, go ahead, get the complete set of the 3 seasons and enjoy. It's really refreshing and entertaining. I've seen all the episodes several times and I am still laughing like crazy !

On the surface this looks like just another rude and crude attempt at smutty ladish humour....which it is. But this show has depth, scratch beneith the surface and you have 3 very 3 dimensional and complex characters, especially Matt (Neil Stuke). In fact I think I'd like this show better if Martin and Mandy (Matthew Cottle & Sam Janus) did not take up so much of the episodes and the series concentrated more on Macho Man Matt who is wonderfully acted by Neil Stuke and is a really funny character, but also a very troubled and vulnerable one too. This video is not for the "Slime Surfers" or the "Gissum Monkeys" buy it today!

Game on is the best sitcom ever made, and here it is at its best ever - series one. Ben Chaplin is easily the definitive Matt, playing the agrophobic macho man who cannot leave his house due to his phobia. The storyline is a simple one, as Matt(Ben Chaplin), Martin(Matthew Cottle) - the ginger banker, and Mandy(Samantha Janus)- the promiscuous minx are living together. The video follows all of there escapades in the house, and gives an insight into their personal problems. Matt is a stud, Martin a geek, and Mandy is a babe. The rest is history, or at least it will be in the future............
This series spawned a load of common phrases and every boy that watches wants to be Matt.

This is absolutely brilliant, all six episodes are classics, it's a shame that Ben Chaplin left after this series as the following two were noticeable by his absence. Hilarious scenes like Matt getting caught in Mandy's room wearing her knickers and the birth of his songwriting talents ("I'm in the streets I'm in the gutter, it's years since I had bread and butter" following the trials & tribulations of a homeless person) are classic moments in comedy, it's just a shame the creators could never reach the standards of this series again.
