Lost was originally only meant to last for a maximum of 3 series with a very clear storyline set out. However as with most successful TV programmes in the USA, the suits wanted to extend the run of their golden goose for much longer.
I know lots of people love this show but I lost interest half way through series 3 and have not returned as I now feel the storylines have become more and more weird and incoherent. I now have the impression that Lost will become like the X Files (which also started with a very clearly set out storyline)and will end up not making any sense whatsoever - my biggest fear is that we will have a 'Bobby Ewing moment' with one of the major characters realising its all been a dream !!
The first time I watched season 3 I was a bit dissapointed. But, after watching it for the second time, starting from episode 1 season 1, and seeing every episode back to back, I enjoyed it a lot more.
Without giving anything away, I don't feel it was as absorbing to watch as seasons 1 & 2, but it is still very enjoyable.
After the end of Season 1, I found the first two episodes of Season 2 to be a bit boring, but by the third episode it kicks off really well. If you havent seen it you are in for a treat, without giving anything away, I thought that the best episodes were "the other 48 days" and "Dave". Can't wait to see what season 3 will be like :)

Essential for anybody with a dvd player. A great tv show that will have you hooked from the opening scene of the first episode, no other tv show can compare with it.

The same 20 minutes viewed by all the characters of the story. After each "vision", there is a new "frame" for the spectators and the "mistery" is more clear. Frenetic, serrated, ultraviolent in some situation, like a Tarantino film, complex in the plot like Kurosawa's Rashomon, with multiple point of view of the history. A good cast, very good action scenes, only a little "boring" the replied "rewind" of the story. An original film. I like it.

This films like an old car. Has some major faults, its embarrassing but you find yourself liking it (some of the time).
Its way over the top. Everyone in it is annoying. CGI racing is dull (you'd be better of playing Burnout). The races are spoilt by people or things flashing across the screen every few seconds. Its to long and it treats the audience like their dumd. All in all a bit of a mess.
Its like a kids version of Death Race.
Its worth a rent (only just though) but not worth buying.

I've been working my way through the complete collection of Lost over the past few months (I never watched it when it was on TV) and seasons 1 and 2 completely blew me away. Season 3 however was slow, had unnecessary and pointless episodes and basically put me off the show a little. The end of that season though did pick up a lot and had a brilliant cliff-hanger ending so I couldn't wait until season 4. I picked up this boxset last week and I've already finished it - it is that good! I know it is a shorter season because of the writer's strike but the quality of this show has sky-rocketed and this season could be even better than season 1!
Without giving away any of the storyline, the survivors are split up, new characters are introduced, a lot of answers are revealed and the introduction ... Read More:

If ever there was a movie to show off Blu Ray, this is it.
The film is apparently based on an old Japanese TV show that made it to the west. I dont remember it at all. It's about a family called Racer and the son is called Speed, hence Speed Racer. It's also a film about very fast race cars, but dont think of Silverstone, think more of your old toy TCR race cars with loops, twists and perhaps the occasional concealed weapon.
It's a pretty basic story from The Wachowski brothers involving race fixing and the small Racer family against "The Man".
The cast are excellent: Emile Hirsch, Susan Sarandon, Matthew Fox, Christina Ricci, John Goodman all looking like they're enjoying themselves playing larger than life characters. There's even a chimp in clothes and Ninjas. What more ... Read More:

We found this DVD set very enjoyable - well worth the money! History is brought to life by focusing on pivotal characters, and the events unfold through their eyes. This is great, especially for children, as it turns what they would normally describe as 'dusty-old-history' into an enjoyable and memorable experience.
