the brainchild of choreographer arlene phillips and stage producer david ian, the show is great for all ages, with an incredible cast of singers and dancers. Especially of note is georgina hagan. good mix of drama/music/dance and comedy and great for all ages, not just kids

i've heard nothing but great things about this so i got a copy of the 2 disc version and sat down expecting to be entertained disney style!!!
what a load of rubbish, first of all james earl jones has and always will be (unfortunetly for him) darth vader and i was just waiting for him to say to simba "i am your father" but its the story and the songs thats the biggest problem.the story has been seen 100 times before(i won't spoil it just in case you want to see the film) and for me just didn't work, the songs written by elton john are just poor they just don't fit the film, just think of classic disney songs/music used in disney films of the past dumbo, fantastia, snow white and of course the jungle book all great films where the songs ... This was one of the best ever BBC dramas.
It made me smile but at the end it will make you cry! It showed some of history that you would never know about unless you were a true historian. Everybody played their part well. Worth watching again and again. >>More Details |
