I'm unsure why this film has taken a beating on here - I watched this last night, not knowing at that time it was a remake of a French film and in that context, Wicker Park as a stand alone film (which in my opinion is how it should be judged as lets face it what film is totally original these days) is really rather jolly good, the most gripped I've been to a movie for some time.
I was a little weary to begin with, I don't do chick flicks, Josh Hartnett was good in Lucky Number Slevin so I was willing to give this a go and my recommendation to anyone in a similar wavering opinion like mine - just watch it. A Man (Hartnett) doesn't go on a business trip to China because he thinks he sees his ex girlfriend, whom he hasn't seen for ... Read More:

The joyous sweep of Branagh's "Much Ado" or the logic of the concept in his "Twelfth Night" are missing.
The cuts are too great and the song and dance numbers can outstay their welcome, so that the unique flavour and pleasures of the play get lost.
Branagh should have had the courage to include the deleted scenes in the DVD version.
That said there are some great turns from the Anglo-American cast and the ending is spot on for the melancholy/humour balance.
And at least it isn't set in Japan!

I like this style of comedy - very witty and amusing. The story follows three guys who take the trip of a lifetime, and get into all sorts of trouble. There are some hilarious scenes. Oh, and it stars Seth Green. He was in Buffy. (Oz)

There's a Little Red Riding-hood, a Big Bad Wolf, and a host of other hacker characters offering an eye fest of couture - they're all clothed by Jean Paul Gaultier - and who off-screen must have been frantically slipping in and out of this wonderful gear. Iain Softley has woven sound into image in a beautiful way, some of the best in the movies I guess, and though the dialogue itself doesn't rate as literature it's as expressive as the music and other noises in its own way. The hacker cast is great - all of them - and I've watched this film time and again, fast-forwarding on only three short scenes. If only the troubles of growing up were as good as this for all of us! Innocence - well almost - meets wicked world in unlikely story. A fairy tale, but I won't ... Read More:

Dissapointing. The story was nowhere near as good as the cartoons. Also, the film tries too hard with special effects. Some of it was quite funny and Scooby and Shaggy were still funny. I felt Rowan Atkinson could have been more involved. A good family film but nothing on the cartoons

Scream is directed by Wes Craven who is usually a serious horror director but on this occasion makes the film quite quirky, funny, not to gory and most importantly scary! The film has a good line up of actors like Drew Barrymore, Courtney Cox (pre Arquette) and the funny David Arquette. The story evolves around Sid who's mum got killed the year before and now the killer is now after her and her friends. Sids boyfriend makes the film, with his creepy faces and good acting. The villian, who wears the famous scream mask also adds to the comic of the film with his clumsy antics. The film is one of the best slasher films with a couple of twists and turns and genuine frights along the way and by far the best of the triology and fantastically spoofed by Scary Movie. And the question ... Read More:

Thirteen Ghosts is a remake of a 1960's film of the same title created by the brilliant William Castle. The film follows a man and his children who become trapped in a ghost ridden house that they've inherited from Cyrus (the man's eccentric uncle.) Trapped along with them are a psychic, a lawyer, and a ghost hunter.
Thirteen Ghosts is a bit different from your standard horror, and it goes without saying that I doubt that this it's the kind of film that everyone will find scary. But for me at least it worked. As this is probably one of the greatest ghost films I've ever seen. The bathroom scene especially, which has been done really well comes to mind. Not to mention when the lawyer 'splits.' The plot is solid and progresses well, keeping you both scared and wanting ... Read More:

So there I was, waiting for the movies to start, I mean I was seeing Scooby Doo THE MOVIE! with sarah-michelle gellar!! Woo Hoo. And then it started (with a slight cheer from the audience)and I was pleased, VERY PLEASED , i mean the movie was exactly what i could have hoped for! While there were somethings that didn't quite please me, this was a damn good film! For me I liked the t.v. show, but wasn't the biggest fan, and i could see that this film could please both, the effects were good, had good acting a good storyline, and the end is just SOOOO GREAT a complete classic! But not everyone will like it. You have to relize it's a childrens film! And thats where I come to the second film, it waas much more for everyone, i sat there with my sister and I had lots of fun, an the second really ... Read More:
