We found this DVD set very enjoyable - well worth the money! History is brought to life by focusing on pivotal characters, and the events unfold through their eyes. This is great, especially for children, as it turns what they would normally describe as 'dusty-old-history' into an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Our Christmas visit to London introduced us to "Balamory" - not only did my 2 year old enjoy it, but my eleven and nine year olds loved watching it too! I love the stories and how they repeat twice "what's the story in balamory today" (very much like the repetitiveness of "Blues Clues"). I am so excited that we have the player to watch this DVD here in the States. I highly recommend it to anyone with preschool age children.

I can't tell you how painful this movie was to watch. It started off simple enough, but I then ended having to switch it off. I was not prepared to lose anymore of my life to this.

Any Balamory item is good in my children's eyes. Fun real-life characters with recognisable traits and different coloured houses. Archie is lovable!

Well what can I say! This will be the sixth DVD in the Balamory collection. Following titles such as "What the story Miss Hoolie?" "Mysteries with PC Plum" and "Archie's inventions" I was not sure what would come next. But as soon as I saw that the BBC would be releasing "Balamory - Panto and other stories" I knew we would be in for a treat! In this fun filled adventure we will see all our favourite Balamory characters dressing up in elaborate costume and taking part in a Christmas pantomime! We will see PC Plum dressed in drag, Edie as a butler, Spencer as Buttons and Miss Hoolie as a "Beautiful" Princess! This DVD will make a perfect present for your child (or even teen) and will make the whole family role with laughter. On a more ... Read More:
