If you are expecting something humorous and dark similar to the Sopranos or Six Feet Under avoid this series at all costs. Exceptionally dull story lines, sloppy background music that makes you want to chuck, and acting so devastatingly naff that it looks like your local amateur dramatics company. The mother character is truly sickening, one dimensional. What the bird from Six Feet Under (she who played the nutty wife to the young bloke in the series) is doing in this garbage is mind boggling. Well beneath her.

Sorry, but this film went straight past me and I really felt no attachment to any of the characters. Knightley wasn't bad and Miller was ok but the characters just didn't mesh well together at all and I found the whole film very uncomfortable to watch! To be honest I thought the best character was Murphy, tormented after he comes back from the war by images of his collegues murdered before his eyes. Knightley and Miller's relationship was awful, so false and painful to see. I really thought this was going to be fantastic, but it wasn't, so its a no in my good films list.

this season has so much more drama then the first season. it was sooooo funny at so many levels. this series made me cry and laugh at the same time. if you liked the first season theres no doubt about it that you are going to love this one. there's two weddings, one divorce, birthday party and lots of romance. this reminds me of my family a lot of chaos but fun. the last episode has a great twist to it but cant say that i didnt see it coming because brothers and sisters always has great twists and turn. cant wait for the third season to be aired.

Excellent film, has Allen's paw-marks all over it, despite it being something of a new experience for him.
Since Lost In Trainslation, Johansson has not really lived up to her expectations and in Match Point she still struggles. Somehow I get the feeling that we're supposed to care for her character, but it just doesn't come off that way. She may be Allen's latest muse, the one her relies on to bring the light to his films, but he's had better certainly.
Rhys Meyers is excellent in that straight-ahead Queen's English speaking kind of way, while the rest of the cast don't really have a great deal to do. However Meyers and Johansson do at least have chemistry which is something that a lot of volatile on-screen affair seem to lack these ... Read More:

The idea was brilliant, but the movie is ill-fated: slow, boring, with "low-cost" cast and scenes. More a psycological drama than a action thriller. Or, perhaps, the "unfortunate" effort of the director to simbolize the horrors of war.

Somehow I missed this first time around, and tuned in to see it on BBC3, however missed a lot of that as well, so time to buy the DVD. Have to say this was an excellent DVD, well shot, good special effects and an outstanding cast list. Also, for once, this was pretty faithful to the original unlike many Hollywood remakes. Well worth a purchase!

Fakers is a great film, almost 'Carry On' in sense of humour although with alot more wit and activity... A good laugh with a stong cast keeps you on the edge of your seat throughtout !!
You may not have seen it in the cinema, as it only showed at selected cinemas around the UK but if you dont see it you are missing out!! We have to support our British film makers and this is a touch of class !

I thank the reviewer "Beth C" for confirming that this production sticks to the original story.
The production values for a TV mini series are pretty good, but evidence of rush abound everywhere in the inadequately prepared performances, which makes me reluctant to criticise the acting.
However Cassandra comes over very well as accurately forecasting the future with nobody believing her (the result of a curse from the god Apollo).
As the Trojan War is one of the world's best known events/myths/legends it hardly seems worth spending three hours watching this DVD.
I thought that this film was outstanding, I really liked it! Some good twists and turns, and i thought it was very realistic. I thought Andrew Howard gave a great performance, didn't expect to recognise any of the actors, but when I saw Gerard Butler and Melanie Lynskey it was a pleasant surprise.
I heard about this film because the introduction of Shooters is used in the introduction of 50 Cent's Curtis album.

Brother & Sisters... you simply must view. If you haven't watched season 1, I recommend you start from there as you get to live the roller coaster lives of the characters.
Superbly acted, and leaves you laughing, crying and cheering along with the family and friends of the extraordinary Walker family.
