We watched this series first on t.v. and loved it. My husband and I found each other in the charectors, and it made us giggle to see ouselves stereotyped ( being only a couple of years married when we watched it.) The little looks that the couple give each other, the things they say to each other or don't say to each other! Madly believable, madly funny and madly addictive.

If you are a fan of American sitcoms then you really should give this a try. It started in the days before Friends and Will & Grace so has a more gentle type of humour but is no less funny for it.
The situation is simple, Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt play a newly married couple who have recently moved into a New York apartment with their dog, Barney. It tackles the problems young American couples would typically face. Namely exes, friends, siblings, neighbours, careers etc
Mad About You is Paul Reiser's baby. As co-creator, star, a member of the writing team and executive producer he really is the big cheese. In my opinion though it is Helen Hunt as Jamie who really shines. She has the smartest lines and proves herself ... Read More:

Pointless and pathetic. Two elderly fatties dressed as schoolgirls pretend to be in detention and, unable to come up with any dialogue (this embarrassing sequence goes on for twenty minutes) start to draw willies on the blackboard. It takes a turn for the worse when they strip down to their grannies' underwear and the lard starts to wobble. They appear not to like each other very much but the cameraman audibly encourages them to "lez off" which they reluctantly start to do. They display limited knowledge of female anatomy - or make sure to steer well clear of any real erogenous zones, which you shouldn't expect to see. Save your money for a Razzle and a box of tissues.
