For those of you who only know the controversy associated with Fight Club, take it from me, it's all for nothing. The people who complain about the raw depiction of white-collar violence clearly pressed the stop button less than half-way through the film. Which would be silly, because although the fighting is slightly gory, it's not the worst out there by a long way and more importantly, the fighting makes up such a miniscule part of the film's duration and message anyway. So if you've been persuaded by these people not to buy this film, ignore them. Whitehouse was satan. On the flip side, if you were actually expecting mindless bloody violence for two hours, than I strongly advise that you buy some UFC DVDs. Fight Club as I say, is more of ... Read More:

No matter what anyone says, and no matter what happens, no other musical can beat the one and only "Rocky Horror Picture Show"! Seriously! I know I may be exaggerating, but tied with the Baz Luhrman classic Moulin Rouge!, this is THE greatest musical of all time!
What I like most about "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" is the fact that it has its own inventive style. I mean, look at musicals like Mary Poppins and Sound of Music (both good films by the way). While they have people singing nice lovely songs aimed at families, RHPS tells about a "Sweet Transvestite" and his servants whom dance to "The Time Warp". How many musicals use THAT idea? Also, the characters are brilliant, the story is well thought-out and the songs are all-singing, ... Read More:

Fantastic film. Jack Black's best so far. I never knew he could sing! The last scene is one of the best scenes in comedy. The competition with the devil was great and so funny. The lyrics in the songs are great. Meat loaf should stop acting though!

Despite the title and the corresponding comment in the film that the UK is little more than the 51st state of America, much of the film's comedy comes from the differences between the two cultures.
The film starts off well, and it's clear that it's a light-hearted affair, but it starts to get a bit too light hearted.
The film aims to be a stylish gangster film, but it meanders between action flick and crime farce. It tries to be uber-cool, and it seems overly obvious that Samuel L Jackson was cast for just that reason - but the pantomime gets in the way. Robert Carlisle's more natural acting style seems more fitting for the film and he constantly seems to out-act Jackson.
This film has good sets, decent actors and a basis for a good story. However the lack of direction is evident from the outset. It wanders aimlessly along in a most tedious and frustrating manner. And I ended up with the feeling that the talents of Ben Kingsley and Michael Madsen were completely wasted. Kristinna Loken of course looks great without having to try. But this is not enough of a distraction to save an otherwise dire effort. Not one I'd recommend.

I love the spice girls and was thrilled to see that they were going on tour again, so to get in the 'mood' of spice girl fever i thought i'd watch this with my sister... well after 10 mins i was falling asleep, but i stuck it out, and believe me it is one of the worst films ever! Although, i went to see the spice girls live at the o2 and they were amazing!!!

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a classic, briliantly done & very entertaining.
I was therefore so disappointed with Shock Treatment...felt like turning it off after 20 minutes & wished I had by the end of the film!
