Like many of you I adored the books by L.M.Montgomery and was entranced as a child by this adaption of Anne of Green Gables. I always hoped they would take the series further and was delighted when The Continuing Story was made. However, this is a warning to true Montgomery fans - The Continuing Story is disappointing in that unlike the first two series, it is a completely different story to what was written. I would have liked to have seen her daughter Rilla, and her struggles with a beau away at war (in the books Anne is a middle aged Mother by this time, happily married to Gilbert and with many children). It is strange to go from having Anne of Green Gables so lovingly and faithfully adapted to this misfit and because I had read the books ... Read More:

This film sees Anne now the teacher of Avonlea School. Her best friend Diana Barry gets engaged and married, and Anne too receives a proposal of marriage, from the dashingly handsome Gilbert Blythe. Anne refuses however. Her old teacher Miss Stacey then writes to her telling her of a teaching post available at a private girls' school. Anne goes and teaches there for a year. At first the teachers and students don't really like her, but Anne soon wins over everyone there. She dreadfully misses Green Gables, so, after a year, returns home. On coming home, she receives some bad news. Gilbert Blythe is dying. Anne now realises where her heart lies, but will it be too late?
A wonderful sequel to the first amazing Anne film!

I agree with all the other reviews. I was so disappointed with this film... I'd always wanted Anne and Gilbert to get together and hoped they'd get married but the entire thing was just disappointing and not what a final film should be about. I know that the background of WW1 was far from happy but it was just so different to the last 2 films that I don't think it should have been aired. Very upsetting.

The town of Larker's Mill is threatening with a lot of strange missing person cases. As the town celebrates it founding day, one of the townspeople is killed. An eccentric builder, Uncle Red (Gary Busey) arrives in town to visit his nephew, Marty, (Corey Haim) a crippled teenager who is confined to a wheelchair. A third animal attack reels the town, forcing Haller to put in a curfew. That still doesn't stop the killer, only this time it is Marty's best friend, Brady (Joe Wright). His father (Kent Broadhurst) organizes a town search party to go into the woods to find the killer, but they mostly end up being killed. Only a few survive, which cancels the rest of ... Read More:
