The first time i watched this film i was hooked! If you have never seen this film then you must!! Not only is brendan fraser gorgeous but he is excellent as Link the caveman! I first came across this on a late night TV on some UK channel, and out of pure boredom I carried on watching. It turns out, this moment of madness turned out to be the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
...Ok, that's going a little too far. But this movie has a magnificent charm in the way it is put together. It has an out-of-this-worldly setup, both in the story and environment. It's quite hideous actually. I don't quite understand why I enjoyed it so much that I went out and bought a copy. To this day I've been debating with myself as to why I like it. Man, I love this film!! On the surface it's another trashy teen comedy, and I suppose below the surface it's another trashy teen comedy, too. It's not ever gonna be an award winner, but it's one of my all-time favourites. It's corny story is so well played that it's hard not to love the characters and end up dreaming of your own 'Silvertown'.... and, um, Brandi. Kid Rock is surprisingly good, and Christopher Walken is hilarious.
And as others have said, it's got a great soundtrack, great quotes ("You like to see homos naked?"), and a happy, sunny feel - none of those dramatic thunderstorms at night. It's just great. >>More Details |

Sleazeball salesman Ricky Coogan(Alex Winter) arrives in the South American country of Santa Flan, accompanied by his friend Ernie(Michael Stoyanov), having been sent there by dodgy company E.E.S to promote the 'totally harmless' Zygrot 24 fertilizer. The two travelling with anti-E.E.S demonstrater Julie(Megan Ward), they stop off to visit Freek Land, a freakshow run by crazed carny showman/mad doctor Elijah C. Skuggs(Randy Quaid), who soon has all three of them strapped to a table and ready to be turned into new freaks for his sideshow. Skuggs uses a secret ingredient in his transformation putty. Yes, you guessed it, its Zygrot 24. Soon Ricky, Ernie and Julie are locked in a shed along with the other freaks that Skuggs has created.

It's great isn't it? When porn gets called erotica because there are no money shots. If you buy Poison Ivy: The New Seduction (the best of the Poison Ivy series IMO) that's just what you'll get. If you, like me, are a fan of seeing naked women moaning, but don't like the messy stuff, this is the skin-flick for you. But just remember, the girls aren't really enjoying it, and if they could see you yankin' it while watching them, they would feel sick and call you a disgusting pervert. And you very well may be. Good on you.

this was definatly not as bad as i thought it was going to be, however it wasn't really good either,it was alright, a way to spend an hour and twenty five minutes but i'm not gonna keep the dvd, moreover i'll give it to a charity shop, as i think after the first time thrill you cant get excited for a second time!
