Even the 3rd film, which is almost definitely the weakest of the four, is fantastic. The opening scene with the bomb in the skyscraper is a classic, and shows Gibson and Glover working as a pair like no one else ever really has. Each film is a near-perfect mix of humour and action, although number one is distinctly less comical and a lot darker. They're the kind of films that never get tedious no matter how many times you've seen them. And unlike Die Hard, the final 'let's rehash an old franchise to make some more money' entry doesn't suck! One of the best film series of all time.

When Englishmen come to her land in search of gold, Pocahontas finds love in the arms of John Smith.
This Oscar winning romantic drama from Walt Disney is one of the warmest and adult themed animations in the genre, and has a heart warming story and some beautifully crafted songs.
The narrative centres around the beautiful independent Pocahontas, who we first see diving off a hill into a gorgeous river, and viewers are instantly thrust into her life as we see what's on her mind. ...Wherein a German filmmaker by the name of Roland Emerich makes a film where evil British Redcoats commit a vile atrocity against American freedom fighters... an atrocity that in reality was perpetrated by German troops against French villagers in WWII. Nice one Roland. What are you going to do next - make a film where the British gas 12 million people in Auschwitz before the plucky German freedom fighters come to the rescue?

The chickens are tired of life on the farm, and fed up with being eaten when they get too old to produce eggs. They hatch various plans to escape , but none succeed. Then Rocky the Rooster (voiced by Mel Gibson) lands among them, and they think that he can fly and will help them to escape. But can he really fly?
This film is very amusing and the children love it. I enjoy it too. I do however always find myself rather cynically wondering (at the end of the film, when they have escaped to their life of freedom), how they are going to fare the first time they encounter a fox, or when it gets cold and food is scarce and they find themselves longing for their nice warm hen-house back on the farm. Stifle such doubts, just enjoy it.

Mad Max: For some reason, someone felt it necessary to dub Mad Max from its original Australian English to...American English (why I will never know) but the good news is, though the 'English' soundtrack is the americanised version, the original Australian audio is also included. Australians do not speak with American accents, so please watch the Australian version.
Mad Max 2/ The Road Warrior: The standalone region 2 DVD only gives a 87 minute cut-down, censored version of the film. We're obviously not good enough in europe for the full film. However this boxset contains the full, 91 minute film in its entirity (its slightly shorter than 95 minutes due to PAL speedup, but its all there) Censorship ruins films, brilliant chase scenes
One of the best chick flicks ever made, full of many funny moments. This film truly gives men an insight to the wonderful world of women. A great cast who play their characters perfectly.

In my opinion, this is the best war movie ever. It has a gritty realism that will bring you as close to the battlefield as you would ever want to be and yet it is laced with powerful human stories that you will remember for years to come. No other war film I have ever watched has evoked the emotions that this film has produced in me.
I am so grateful to everyone involved in bringing this important story to the big screen. I think that the making of this film has been achieved in such an exempary way that it can be seen as a worthy memorial to all those who were there in 1965.

Romantic comedy in which Mel Gibson stars as a chauvinistic advertising executive who one day after a freak accident finds that he can hear women's thoughts, and uses this to his advantage, not least of all in the workplace. An intriguing premise that makes a lot of its comic potential but I felt that more could have been done with the idea and the ending is a big let-down. Could and should be better.
