I enjoyed School of Rock, it wasn't that well balanced, but the low points were made up for by the good bits (well, the stage dive at the beginning). I saw Nacho Libre on a flight to North Carolina, and I thought it stank, but everyone can get the odd thing wrong. I enjoyed Tenacious D's videos.

I saw the trailers for `Be Kind Rewind' and really enjoyed the idea of a couple of amateurs creating fake copies of films which had been destroyed; I was happy to buy the notion of Jack Black becoming magnetized and hence wiping the tapes ... it's sort of the same as X-Men and an amusing conceit as an introduction to some witty, amusing stuff with the expectation of conceits and exposure of continuity / scientific / plot errors or something ... this film rocks. anyone who is a fellow lesbian will love this. it is outrageous and its about time there was a gay movie this good. it has a few things that could be improved but all in all what a great film. my girlfriend and i watched it and wanted to watch it again. Im fed up with men and straight girls (Some idiot commenting on imagine me and you which is brilliant)slating all our gay movies, any of you reading this...watch something else. As for all you lesbians this film is great so dont pay attention to the one stupid review by someone who clearly didn't get it.

Jack Black as always is fantastic and so are the rest of the cast, but the storyline is bad and certainly not funny. I think that thewriters could have done a lot more and taken a lot of the stupid stuff out and made it slightly more interesting.

Feel the Noise [2007] (REGION 1) (NTSC)

directed by: Alejandro Chomski

Well... It's never gonna win any prizes for its storyline, or the acting overall. BUT, if its eye candy you are after, then it delivers. It shows Omarion in a role quite different to Omarion the performer, and I think he plays it well. The story is very rushed, especially at the end, but the cast do what they can with the material. Omarion fans will find it watchable (especially the very quick love making scene- quick due to editing!! nothing to do with O. lol). It gets 3 stars simply because Omarion is in it (eye candy) and the acting from the cast is not horrendous.

Be Kind Rewind [2008] (REGION 1) (NTSC)

starring: Mia Farrow, Danny Glover, Sigourney Weaver, Jack Black, Mos Def
directed by: Michel Gondry

`Be Kind Rewind' stars Mos Def as Mike who works for Mr Fletcher (Danny Glover) at a video store that still stocks VHS. One day after trying to sabotage a generator, Mike's friend Jerry (Jack Black) gets electrocuted and becomes magnetic, which then wipes all of the tapes in the store. Mike and Jerry then decide to "Swede" some of the popular titles, including Ghostbusters, Rush Hour 2 and Driving Miss Daisy, amongst many others, which quickly become very popular with the local residents.

After seeing the trailer for this I was looking forward to seeing it for a long time but was just so disappointed with the whole thing. The only parts of the film that actually made me laugh were the parts where Mike and Jerry (and a few extras) were re-making (sweding) ... Read More:
