Over the years there has been some brillant BRITISH comedy this is up there with the best. This complete series is just amazing and so funny, for me this is just behind Faulty Towers and infront of Only Fools And Horses in the pecking order but everybody has there favorites which is only right. The only thing that really matters is this is worth every penny a must for anybodys DVD collection and remember it's BRITISH nobody touches us when comes to classic comedy, they might get the deckchairs but they won't better this.

Kenneth More at his best - what a superb performance from a superb actor.
More stars as Douglas Bader the fighter pilot from the war era who after an accident loses both his legs. His sheer determination wins him his wings back and the respect of his men, many who are years younger than himself. His subsequent imprisonment on foriegn shores and his escapes, determine Bader as one of the greatest heroes of WWII.
A great feast for the eyes with some spectacular ariel shots.

It's a classic. When in doubt of a choice of music dvd to play I'd go for this - it goes down well every time if having a party (note it's rated a 15)or just on your own. Waltz Away Dreaming is an additional song - it was on the cassette version but not the CD. See a young Kate Beckinsdale dressed up as goat !?! What ever happened to Toby Bourke?

One of the most funniest men on TV. Watch as Frank cause's more catstrophe than any other and comes away without a scratch unfortunatley for all the people around him including his dear wife Betty. This is classic comedy at it's best.

Whether you love or hate Michael Crawford, don't let this one slip by! It is action-packed FUN. Like a modern-day The Court Jester (Danny Kaye). Perfect for family audiences. Despite being an action film, it isn't all just a bunch of chases and shoot-outs, it survives on a thin but witty plot with great acting. A great film to enjoy over and over again.

First, this series is ridiculously hilarious. The predicaments Frank gets himself and others into are so insane, one cannot help but laugh. However, if you're thinking of buying a copy for someone without a Region 2 player, the "all regions" Region 0 is misleading. Maybe it's the PAL format, which isn't printed on the DVD itself. Whatever it is, I bought this for my nephew, but it won't work on his Region 1 player or on his PS2. Otherwise, this is a fun show that can be enjoyed by all members of the family.

I don't understand why this film gets unfavourable reviews on Amazon. I didn't like it when I first saw it on TV in the seventies (I missed it at the cinema being under-age) but it has become one of my favourite films since. It has the greatest of John Barry's great film scores, superb black and white photography, Rita Tushingham at her best, wonderful shots of mod London, and it is very wittily filmed. It is based on a theatre play which has transferred to the screen perfectly and it is inspired by the French New Wave. It is witty and trendy 60s mod art, and so it must be good.

Worth watching for Zero Mostel alone. Great gags as usual from Phil Silvers and Jack Gilford too. One song a bit corny but still very good film. Don't be put off by the Micheal Crawford, he doesn't play a Frank Spencer - apart from the stunts.

As good as the first series. Less caractured than the third, even though that is good in itself. Pity the stunts weren't also set aside as extras. They are highlights.
