This is a review of the box set itself, since obviously the show gets 5 stars and we all know how good that is - so in response to an earlier review calling for comments on the packaging, here's my take.
There's an outer sleeve showing all the characters lined up as you can see on the product image. Inside this you pull out the oblong box which is also shown. This has the words "The Sopranos" along it. This box splits in two and reveals two sides, with 15 discs on each. Each disc is on its own sleeve and is tucked away to reveal just a number, from 1-4 (since this is how many discs are in each season - season 6 is in two parts therefore 8 discs).
My only gripe lies in the way in which the discs are stored within the ... Read More:

When everything was closing in on Tony, how could it end?
Praise has to go to the team that made this series; for not leaving it with a predictable finale. In the most annoying ending of all time...it ended in the only way it could have.

Roumour has it that HBO decided to cancel Sapranos but said that they would fund six series. The Sapranos team wanted to complete seven series; so here is series 6 (part 1) followed later by series 6 (part 2, not series 7!). I like their cheek. I like their programmes.

The episode that I keep on revisiting is the first one. It sets the scene so perfectly. Each of the main characters are shown for who they really are.
'Sapranos' is more of a slow burner that it's big screen cinematic cousins, but if you like gangster films such as 'Scarface' or 'Godfather' you will probably love 'Sopranos'.
Tony Soprano is a realistic everyday gangster with all of the usual troubles that beset a hard-working, married businessman. He doesn't have much of the glitz and glamour usually associated with crime, with the exception of his house and expensive wife.
Tony is a proud, strong, alfa-male with a VERY dark side, and a really cheeky sense of humour, but those around him are definitely not as innocent ... Read More:

THE BEST picture I have EVER seen on a series cover. What drama! It shows how serious the makers of 'Sopranos' were about the programme to put such thought into a picture. It even show Tony's beloved ducks in the distance.

This fourth season is an extremely intense brutal season and is just as dramatically compelling and enthralling as the previous three. Very few dramatic series can even compare to The Sopranos where it entertains on all levels, from gripping drama to dead pan humorous moments.
My fav episodes include:
The Weight - A terrible remark about Johnny's wife gets back to him and he goes on a bloodthirsty quest for revenge which in the end brings both he and Ralph to the brink; Carmela and Furio begin to develop a more than interesting relationship and she and Tony continue to argue over their financial future.
Pie O My - Ralph Cifaretto buys a race horse and invites Tony to the track and he suddenly finds a relationship similar to that which he had with the ducks in the ... Read More:

A remake of the famous "Fistful of Dollars" brought up to the prohibition era of the thirties.
Bruce Willis as "Smith" rolls into a veritable ghost town in a battered old Ford. The good citizens have abandoned the place to two rival gangs of thugs.
In Eastwood style, Smith plays them against each other, and comes out on top.
The low growling voice of Willis, the old bangers and the sets, make this a most enjoyable film. To top it there is the perpetual dust and desert (in spite of lots of rain) - and it creates effective atmosphere and sense of abandon.
I don't know what sort of firearms he was using, but they never ran out of ammo and bodies dropped by the score. It all made for good viewing.
I am not at big Willis fan, but this one I enjoyed, particularly as I could ... Read More:
