"The Crow" is excellent in so many ways. First, Brandon Lee is unique, torn between grief and eagerness to avenge his and Shelley's death, the directing is outstanding and far above the standard of this genre, the visuals are a blast. This is a great way to examine the difference between films and movies. This is not what I'd call a movie, it is a piece of art, that is the point. Like most of Lynch's output, if you understand this point then you shouldn't get as angry as some cinema goers after experiencing his films. Lynch is at heart an artist, he paints, draws, creates music and film, what he is conveying isn't a story, that's the job of an illustrator. The films he has created give off ideas, concepts, feelings, a sense that what you are seeing can't be explained, just felt. Lost highway was to date the most successful of his films at achieving this, there are some pointers, some hints at certain psychological states or personality issues, but to be honest I don't have a clue what ... Will it be in high definition? Unless it's a error on Amazon's part, to me one disc does not seem adequate for a complete season; shortened as it was due to the writer's strike. If true it sounds that this will really be a standard definition release with all the episodes put on one compact blu-ray disc. After all the, UK releases of the dvd boxsets were inferior to the those in the US (in regards to extras). The american blu-ray release on the Amazon US will apparantly be three discs - which sounds about right. Proceed with caution. >>More Details

I first saw this film on TV in 2005 and did not expect much after the Radio Times rating of 1 star. However, I found myself laughing for most of the movie that is similar to a spoof, much like the 'Naked Gun' or 'Police Academy' movies - but fresh and exciting. It is certainly cheesy but well worth a try. It's a good comedy with a few famous faces. You'll enjoy Corky's slip-ups, accidents and slapstick humour! I wasn't expecting too much from this film, but I was surprised to find that Playing God is good! It centres on David Duchovny's drug addicted and disgraced surgeon who saves the life of a chap in a bar, only to find himself befriended by the chap's criminally-inclined boss (Timothy Hutton) and his girlfriend (Angelina Jolie). When the FBI realise that they can get to the boss via the doctor, things start getting very dangerous for both Duchovny and Jolie who spend the last half of the film trying to get away from bonkers hippie Hutton and the FBI with their lives intact. David Duchovny and Angelina Jolie were excellent as our tainted heroes and I was surprised at how likable Timothy Hutton's baddie was. Supernatural Season 1 was excellent. Season 2 was good, but dumbed down for the teenage rarther than adult audience. As a result alot of U.S viewers were lost on airing and the show was nearly cancelled. But here in Season 3 it is excellent again. But a warning about the NTSC box set. I ordered mine(NEW) through Amazon.co.uk, from a well known established U.S Florida based seller. It arrived in a horrific condition. It had obviously left the Warner Bros factory like this.! The 6 fold out dvd cases were smashed to bits. Not just the centers but the whole thing. The cardboard cover ripped and bent. And last of all, the dvd discs offered a selection of about 10 different language subtitles. But would only play with a subtitle on, not without any. There is faults on the dvd discs throughout ...
