Mike Myers (Shrek) writes and stars in this spy spoof sequel as Dr Evil travels back to the 60's to steal Austin's mojo in a plan to take over the world.
International man of mystery was excellent, goofy yet sophisticated with daft humour and interesting characters and a real comedy take on the spy genre. This critically acclaimed sequel follows the same route with the same weird and wonderful central protagonist Austin Powers who has a new sidekick, Felicity Shagwell, played with some charm by Heather Graham.
Myers also throws in an array of new characters, all comically arranged for extra humour, such as Mini Me, Fat B*****d and Robin Spitz Swallows, all interesting and crude in their own way, a useful technique ... Read More:

This has been my favorite film since it came out in 1999. As well as being one of the first dvds to hit the home screen it was also the first movie that captured my imagination.
It has my favorite actor in it -Robin Williams who manages to create a character that has many angles. he uses his brilliant performance to deliver a robot that can merely do more than house work but that can also plant a real question inside someone- what makes you different and what makes you human...

A fantastic day has arrived at long last. "Arthur of the Britons" available to watch whenever I like! Back to the days of my middle childhood when the long walk from school could not go quickly enough, switch on the TV and get ready to watch. The DVD of the 2 series has not disappointed. It is still as fresh and excitibg as it was in the early 70s. The cast capture a realistic impression of what life must have been like for the Celts. Nothing is spared. It is only looking at it again that I realise it was quite adult in some of the themes and scriptwriting. A delight to be able to watch again and again. I promise you'll always come back to it quite regularly.

This boxed set is not described here by Amazon, and that makes it impossible to know what the content is. In fact some of the same dvds are offered by Amazon separately, so if you do not know which episodes are in this set you may already have some (like I did when I purchased this) or you may order some on a duplicated basis in the same order. So beware. For your information I will list the content here so that you can avoid this problem.
This set (The Bible) is the largest TV-based movie ever undertaken, and not to be confused with other films also named "The Bible", some of which are also sold here on Amazon.
The stars here include Ben Kingsley, Gary Oldman, Richard Harris, Dennis Hopper, Oliver Reed, Sean Bean, Barbara ... Read More:

Let's get the perspective clear from the start: I grew up despising Barbie in all her guises - her only discernable use was as legitimate target practice for my action man. I resisted all things Barbie until my daughter was introduced to her via this exposition at a friend's house and Santa caved in on her fourth Christmas. Seen through the eyes of a parent, this film does terrible things to Tchaikovsky's masterpiece - cutsie animals, lavender unicorns and a changed ending but my daughter was captivated by this, the best of the series. By that magic ability that six-year-old girls possess that enables them to wrap fathers round their little fingers, she has since added most of the others, though this remains the favourite.
This is a nice film, satisfying in so many ways, even if the sad conclusion is anything but, but that's the nature of romantic tragedy. This is Oliver Reed's finest film performance (apart from maybe Gladiator), and must be Ken Russell's best movie bar none. Good authentic adaption of DHL, a writer whose works often arouse strong emotions one way or another. In fact human emotion is often the main focus of all his works, rather than the more overt themes of class, or raw passion. This film has a lovely period feel to it, is very intimate in its portrayal of the relationships between people with different personalities and feelings, and it distills the mood or essence of DHL perfectly. If you're prepared for a more involving, slower paced sort of romantic drama ... Read More:

This is an excellent film for anyone who like's a film with a good story and a good heart, it is touching, funny, heart warming, sad, at times hilarious and a good journey through life film.
The only bad point is that you sort of know the outcome of the film via the opening of the film, which I thought spoilt it a little, but this aside this is a gem of a film and the best first viewing of a film that I have seen so far this year.

Although this movie is short enough to have been in it's entirety on ONE side; it has been SPLIT in half and you have to flip the disc over to view the whole movie.
The ONLY advantage this DVD has over the US/Canada version (which is in it's entirety on ONE side) is that this DVD is Anamorphic Widescreen (whereas the US/Canada version is NON-Anamorphic Widescreen).
