My wife and I went to see the stage show about a year ago ..... I didn't think I would enjoy it, but I did .... brilliant show.
Then the film came out and we went to see it with some friends, I was convinced that the film would be cheesy and wouldn't be able to hold a candle to the stage show ......... it's one of the most entertaining films I've ever seen ....... lifts your mood and is a really excellent feel good experience.
OK so Brosnan isn't anything of a singer, but it doesn't matter because it makes the film more believable, (even though it's all pretty far fetched), and if all the singers were perfect then it would be a bit too cheesy.

After throwing a secret party for his son Chris's 12th birthday , Daniel Hillard (Robin Williams) lands himself in hot water with his wife Miranda (Sally Field) and she demands a divorce.
When Miranda wants to hire a housekeeper to look after the children, Daniel is outraged that Miranda would rather let a stranger look after the children than him so with a little help from his make-up artist brother, Daniel turns up to an interview as Mrs Doubtfire, a british nanny who has 15 years experience under her belt and is hired on the spot.
Mrs Doubtfire is a fantastic family film that is funny, sad and touching all at the same time.

Lost count how many times I've watched this over the years but it remains a really entertaining film combining great cinematic scenery, characterisation and plot. It is a fine remake of a classic and Brosnan's performance is especially good. He plays Thomas Crown brilliantly and certainly keeps the determined Rene Russo on her toes!
What makes the film for me is the art and the detectives, who always seem to be second guessing Crown's next move. Even more brilliant is the unforgettable museum scene near the end. A fine film that can be revisited many times.

A film of two halves, but with a somewhat uncomfortable join.
This movie starts off with one of the most gritty and riveting hunts in recent memory. Pierce Brosnan's weatherbeaten and hardened ex Union officer is the hunted one, and Liam Neeson is the hunter, driven remorselessly by the ghosts of his past. The cold of the mountains, the pain of using a knife to gouge out a bullet and cauterize the wound, the chill of the water, the close quarters kills with the knife, all make for a visceral start with minimal dialogue and little explanation. Each man is completely single minded - one on survival, and one on revenge. As the chase moves onto the plains, we discover more about their past and the reason for the chase, marking a change in tone ... Read More:

Collecting the four movies featuring `official' Bond number five, Pierce Brosnan:
Goldeneye: Pierce Brosnan and Martin Campbell (director of the BBC's classic eco-thriller Edge Of Darkness) brought the Bond series back from the brink with this formulaic but rewarding effort, both a homage to, and an updating of, the old formula. Brosnan, in his debut as Bond, tries his hardest to flesh out the character, whilst Sean Bean is good value as the villain. Famke Janssen gives what is still her most memorable movie performance as the sexually voracious Xenia Onnatopp, but on the downside Judi Dench's luvvie, career-woman M makes her unwanted debut, Alan Cumming ponces around in that way that only Alan Cumming can, and Robbie Coltrane struggles with a Russian ... If you're after saving some space on the shelf and a little bit of cash over buying the individual releases then this is what you want. The packaging is a competent fold out digipack style. The films themselves look excellent in High Def. Some people say there's not much improvement over the recent UEs. However the extra detail is apparent, of course it is. There's only so much upscaling DVDs can get you. The set is encoded for regions A,B,C.

James Bond (Brosnan) investigates the mysterious dealings of Goldeneye, a satellite which was kidnapped by a group of Russians.
Pierce Brosnan's (Mamma Mia!) first role as the famous British spy is probably his finest to date with specific and exciting acting, not to mention he is the cheekiest and smartest Bond since Connery.
Six years Bond fanatics had to wait after `Licence to Kill' was released in 1989 and weren't we treated? Goldeneye has everything a Bond fan could ever wish for, high action, attractive female leads and a fantastic trio of villains to make the ultimate knockout action thriller.
Brosnan's performance is excellent and really helps gain that edge of your seat excitement but also an ultimate relaxed feeling to. ... Read More:

I've never been huge fan of disaster films, as I've always found them to be over the top, or just an excuse for some special effects. Nevertheless I decided to give the pre-millennium Dante's Peak a chance and all things considered I'm pretty glad I did as I really enjoyed the film.
Set in Dante's Peak (hence the title I guess) the film tells of a major volcano located in the heart of the town, that's about to blow it top. Despite the increasingly alarming warning signs, the idea of evacuation is considered premature and brushed aside, despite the best efforts of Pierce Brosnan (who plays the volcano expert) to convince them otherwise. There are some really spectacular special effects, but all have been done in such a way that really enhances the film itself. I couldn't ... Read More:
