The series starts off great. It kicks off with the protagonist wandering the streets covered in blood, then flashes back to events 6 months earlier and gradually comes up to date to fill us in on the story - an intriguing framing premise that only starts to wear out its welcome by episode 4 or so. The characters are fascinating - especially the very human monsters brilliantly played by Glenn Close and Ted Danson. So what went wrong? As we near the end of the season, it's revealed that the most improbable characters are embroiled in an ever-widening conspiracy. Plot hoops and cliffhangers take over from the earlier subtle characterization. There's the sense that, like with Prison Break, the writers are starting to steer the story with a view ... Read More:

The 6th season of Larry is quite strong, better than the previous two. Here Larry gives in to Sheryls suggestion that they house a family made homeless after a hurricane. The Blacks arrives, and this gives rise to so many misunderstandings, insults and plain weird things to easily fill up a whole season where we follow Larry on his hopeless quests. If you liked earlier seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm, you wil probably like this. Also, if you're a fan of Seinfeld (I am) I think there is some 50% chance that you will love this and recognize the creative mind behind it all. Some Seinfeld fans don't like Larry at all, but I can't help noticing that he is a combination of Jerry and George Costanza, in one person!

the first 20 minutes of this film is mind blowing with the d-day beach landings where the soldiers just run into artillery fire and bombs it's so realistic it's frightning.
but then the action slows down has we follow the rescue mission , the cast all perform brilliantly and the "master" mr spielberg keeps us entertained throughout the journey but after the start to the film any other action scene's will obviously dissapoint.this film is a must buy for all war film fans just for the brutal battle scene's alone.

this boxset comntains both 3 Men and a Baby as well as 3 Men and a Little Lady.
Directed by Leonard Nimoy and starring Tom Selleck, Ted Danson & Steve Guttenberg this film is about 3 womanising men who wake up one morning to find a little baby on thier door step and the fallout that ensues from this discovery. Added into the mix are a couple of drug dealers and you have a truly classic film which has some lovely and touching moments.
the sequel is not as good (like most sequels) but is still well worth watching just for Tom Selleck and Steve Guttenberg in Tuxedos. All in all these are family films that should be on the shelf of everyone who has kids.

One of the best horror anthologies to come out of the early 80s and one I practically grew up with. Using a very clever homage to the old EC horror comics and with it's black swollen tongue stuck firmly in it's skeletal cheek, this film takes us through a series of absolutely brilliant macabre stories specially written by Stephen King.
Classics include the wrath of a father who just wants his cake, a vengeful murderous husband who gets in some serious deep water..*snigger*, a hapless fool who should never have touched a fallen meteor, a desperately unhappy man finding the perfect alternative to a divorce thanks to the unlikely discovery of a crate and a contemptible tycoon with a phobia of bugs getting just what he deserves. There's also a neat little ... Read More:

Still pretty good if you're a fan of the series, but I feel that this one is of a lesser quality compared to series 1-4. The jokes are a little more forced or seem a little too pre-meditated, and the programme does not have the freshness that it once did.
There were some moments when I laughed, but I spent most of my time apprehensive, wondering if the jokes will be as obvious as the build up suggested, and sometimes they are. The endings to each episode are getting a little more detached to the plot, ridiculous and less original (for example, Larry accuses a plastic surgeon of not being a genuine doctor and then reads in the paper that said doctor did help save a life...que end credits, hohoho...). Feels a bit 'clunky', as the actual argument Larry had seemed less ... Read More:

Alcoholism is a very serious contagious disease, and I think the fact that shows like this 'Cheers' debacle even exist, and are happy to ridicule and make fun of this condition is a terrible slight on our 21st century culture. My dear old uncle Harry (God rest his bloated soul) was crippled and eventually succumbed to his love of Baileys, and if he was alive to witness this filth, he would turn in his grave and die all over again.
However, it achieves a bonus star simply for not being the disgraceful spin-off series 'Frasier', in which some doomed wretch decided it would be fine to make fun of the mentally ill. What's next? Is the next big American sitcom going to consist of a band of paraplegic mutes attempting to ... Read More:

This was where Cheers really took off. Season two saw the beginning of the Sam/Diane relationship which would continue to be on agian/off agian for the next 3 years and formed the basis for most of the plots. This season is full of so many great moments such as Diane trying to impress Dick Cavertt with her poetry. For me though a real classic moment was the pre credits sequence in the episode Battle of the Exes when Diane tries to book a romantic weekend at a little hotel by a lake hoping that Sam will come to think of it as 'Their' place only to be asked when she books a room for Malone if she is talkng about Sam Malone and does she want his usual room?

Loch Ness- no guessing what its about! And yet, this is another film that I keep re-watching- there is a delightful sense of tongue in cheek about this, the story is of the classic myth- the ancient sea creature alive in Loch Ness- and yet it has an innocent charm that you just wish could be true. I like this sort of film. Think lots of us do, if we could just be more truthful. A 4 star film- not quite excellent, but very good al;l the same.
