Really enjoyed this film and I am really am not easy to please (so I am told). No need for me to add words to what other more literate reviewers have said. Really good.

The combination of Benjamin Britten's powerful War Requiem, the poetry of Wilfred Owen and the acting and cinematography in this piece make for an intense experience. Jarman was not allowed to add a single word to the text of the requiem, yet he managed to make this work both a personal and a universal statement. Don't distract yourself with popcorn: give it your total attention. The images will haunt you.

Great film, enjoyed it despite initial misgivings about watching a 'kids film'. Not going to review it in depth since so many others already have on the DVD section.
The picture on the bluray disc is excellent throughout, which does mean that some of the more dodgy special effects are shown up - though fortunately not too often. For the most part the graphics are very good, Aslan in particular is impressive.
The sound offers 5.1 and uncompressed. I could not get the uncompressed sound to work initially, but all was ok after a play around, and the uncompressed sound is very good. Footsteps in snow never seemed so loud! The 5.1 sound is also good, but does lack the detail of the lossless format.
Like "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "The Wizard of Oz" and "Harry Potter" series, "Narnia" creates its own fantasy universe with its own set of facts and realities. Narnia is a vast land of snow and glaciers, where a wide variety of magical and mythological creatures such as fauns, centaurs, cyclops, griffins, dwarves, rhinos, beavers, wolves and other kinds of beasts live in. No need to mention mighty Aslan and his archenemy Jadis, the wicked White Witch.
In this magical backdrop, "Narnia" tells the story of four siblings who get into this enchanted realm through a mysterious wardrobe while they are in a temporary stay in a country manor. But they have a big problem: Narnia has been under the dark spell of the White Witch who turned it ... Read More:

I bought this and saw it last night, it was without doubt a little werid but somewhat beautiful. It starts out with Franics Bacon going to George Dyer's apartment and mourning for his upsettling death, then it swtiches to seven years before when they first meet and become doomed lovers. Bacon is more in focus of his paintings and his odd friends while Dyer is falling deeper for him so much that he begins to lose his sainty and destorys his life. The peformances are brilliant, Derek Jacobi is excellent and the right choice as Bacon, he can show little emotion like crueltiy and bitterness while narrating in the background. Daniel Craig is without doubt amazing and brilliant, his final moments still haunt me ever since and that's what I call very good acting. He ... Read More:
