Boston Legal is an excellent series which has many fine characters and stories. there however a couple of down points with this particular season. First Denny, there are a couple of times that he steps over the bounds from being humourously horny to lechorous, it's noticeable and you do feel like yuk!!! The second is the amount of political sniping and commentary which turns up especially oft used comments like "This Government" mind you Denny running for a presidential candidate was pure gold.
Apart from that this is a really fun series which at times makes you laugh out loud. Whilst it isn't as good as the first three seasons it does have some truly memorable moments and some excellent guest stars. As always the various speeches ... Read More:

Looking at the other reviews I can see that people still think Boston Legal to be as good as it ever was. This is not my opinion. For me this season is where the series lost its way. Jerry Espenson, the assbergers (apologies if spelt incorrectly) sufferer became a semi-regular cast member in this series and this is where it began to lose its way. Jerry worked fine as a rare guest star but it appeared that all involved with the show thought his character to be so good that we simply had to have him every single week. Personally, whenever Jerry is on screen I lose all interest and find his antics irritating. Thankfully the brilliant double-act of James Spader and William Shatner is still prevalent. The other cast members (no idea who they are by the way) work well together. ... Read More:

I've always loved James Spader and his choice of quirky, sometimes troubled characters. Here he's on top form, wily, idiosyncratic, creepy sometimes but always funny and with excellent delivery of clever dialogue. William Shatner is harder to place - being a fan of TNG rather than TOS (yet the first Star Trek series was much more my era), I never found him funny, sexy or even a particularly good actor. Here however he's a revelation. He plays 'Denny Crane' (as he often keeps reminding us) with exactly the right tone and his pathos at possibly losing his mind, his vivacity for life and love means we sympathise rather than ridicule.
I used to like Ally McBeal but bored of it after about series 3. It was just a little too far fetched for my taste at the time. This however, ... Read More:

This tv series is a very humorous and sometimes serious take on the legal profession and a particular group of male and female lawyers.
It's hard to imagine real lawyers having the freedom to speak to one another and to judges and other people as openly and abruptly as these lawyers do.If you watch the programme and don't take it too seriously it is certainly entertaining - I don't usually watch legal - based dramas/programmes but I managed to watch 17 episodes of boston legal in 3 days.Be warned though:if you don't like men constantly talking about sex and throwing inuendo around an office then steer clear of what's on offer here.James spader and william shatner are relentless in their pursuit of their female colleagues and any other women.

What people have failed to review here is what a poor season no 3 actually was. The show was in big trouble when it's 3rd season came around.Creator gene roddenberry had left the show after being promised that star treks 3rd season would have the top tv slot of the week,7pm on a mon night, the execs at nbc changed their minds and bumped trek to fri nights at 10pm when its core audience kids n teenagers would be either in bed or out partying. Rodenberry left in disgust and most of the briliant writers who had worked on season 1 and 2 left also, along with the brillaint D.C fontana who by no coincidence produced 1 last script for the show which ends up one of seasson 3's best eps! NBC brought in freddy frieberger a staple of western shows in the 60;s who had a different vision than roddenberry, also ... Read More:

Well, i too was a bit worried when i heard that this project was in the offing, but i was also excited, having grown up with the original series and been a fan for years.
Having watched the old series time and time again, the one thing that jarred with it was the special effects, as they were very much of their time, and i always wished that they could be updated, much as the BBc have done with some of the classic Doctor Who DVD releases.
I have to say that the effects really add a depth to the original show and complement it. They do not detract from Star Trek in any way at all.
I cannot see how people can complain about losing the grainy old stock shots, which were always the same for every episode, and the wobbly-ness of the Enterprise's motion through space.

Superb! One of the best films on the Holocaust I have ever seen!
Featuring an all star cast of Spencer Tracy, Judy Garland (Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz), Burt Lancaster, Montgomery Clift, and Richard Widmark, this courtroom drama comes to life.
The theme of the film is "Who was responsible for the Holocaust?" An American solider who liberated a concentration camp can never forget the horror that met his eyes and is determined to ensure that justice is done. The Germans' case is very well presented throughout the film.
The film rightfully won several oscars, including Best Actors.
The film shows actual footage from the concentration camps. Notwithstanding that parts of it are hard to watch and confront, however
the film's message of ensuring that justice ... Read More:

The original motion picture was a decent attempt at converting star Trek from a dated TV series into a cinematic movie. The story of the first film is a very interesting one and it is well acted, produced and directed. New characters are brought in and old ones retained. The fact that Kirk is much older is delt with much more than in the follow up movies. This film has many good points but is not exciting by any means and is not a film that warrants watching over and over again.
