Firstly, if you're from the UK or Europe, you will need a DVD player that can play region 1 DVD's.
The four-episode story arc in the previous series of Moonlighting paved the way for things to come. Series (or season) 4 starts with one of the worst-ever episodes of Moonlighting. A Trip To The Moon indeed! This episode is painful. The script is terrible, and you can sense that the writers had no idea what to do with the characters now they had finally "done it". A major problem was Cybill Shepherd's real-life pregnancy (later written into the story). Her character had to be written out, which had Maddie de-camp to her parents' house in Chicago. The reason? If you can divert your eyes from Maddie's hair disasters, you will notice David's hairline receding as the series progresses. But Moonlighting wasn't about clothes or hair. Much better than most of today's contemporary TV programs, this series has depth of character and it does not lose momentum through the first season.
The first DVD contains both the network version of the pilot and the extended version of the pilot. You can skip to the extended version which only has a couple of expanded scenes. I was really hoping for some of the characters in the pilot to make it into the regular episodes. I will not go through each episode so that you may have the fun of discovery. Great formula as Allison Dubois (Patricia Arquette) who has a gift since childhood of talking to the dead and getting physique vibes. I took this DVD out as a recommendation by Amazon and having just watched it, I feel almost duped. While it may be a true story and I sympathise the tragic consequences, the film has been very poorly portrayed and certainly not believeable. The young actor who plays Andrew is good but totally let down by the adult actors. Don't really want to berate it too much, but it was very disappointing and definitely not worth watching in my books! 0 of 5 stars!

I took this DVD out as a recommendation by Amazon and having just watched it, I feel almost duped. While it may be a true story and I sympathise the tragic consequences, the film has been very poorly portrayed and certainly not believeable. The young actor who plays Andrew is good but totally let down by the adult actors.
