I remember watching this on its original showing and it is still as fresh today as it was back then. A great concept to begin with, the 2 lead characters interact brilliantly and Scott Bakula is never less than likeable in his portrayal of Sam Beckett. What comes over strongly is that the actors seem to be enjoying themselves and have fun with the characters they portray. Some of the best ever episodes are in this season and although each story is complete in itself, we are given insights into both the characters' backgrounds and the Quantum Leap project itself. Light entertainment that can be watched by the whole family - always enjoyable and sometimes thought-provoking. Only quibble is the lack of a booklet or information about the episodes ... Read More:

Well , my all time favourite show comes in a great pacakage on region 2.
A must for any fan of the show , but if you were a hardcore fan season 3 , & 2 for that matter will dissapoint with mixed up leaps and edits to some of the music , most notibaly RUNAWAY.
not bad and makes the cut apart from that.
BTW the bitrate is excellent on these dvds

Firstly, if you're from the UK or Europe, you will need a DVD player that can play region 1 DVD's.

The four-episode story arc in the previous series of Moonlighting paved the way for things to come. Series (or season) 4 starts with one of the worst-ever episodes of Moonlighting. A Trip To The Moon indeed! This episode is painful. The script is terrible, and you can sense that the writers had no idea what to do with the characters now they had finally "done it".

A major problem was Cybill Shepherd's real-life pregnancy (later written into the story). Her character had to be written out, which had Maddie de-camp to her parents' house in Chicago. The reason? Because she couldn't deal with her relationship with David Addison. ... Read More:

Firstly, you will need a DVD player that will play Region 1 DVD's.

This is where it began, 24 episodes including the double-length pilot. First shown in the UK on BBC 2 in 1986 (and rarely on terrestrial TV since the end of the series in 1989), Moonlighting has aged well even if the hairstyles and clothes haven't. If you can divert your eyes from Maddie's hair disasters, you will notice David's hairline receding as the series progresses.

But Moonlighting wasn't about clothes or hair. It was about Maddie Hayes and David Addison's love-hate relationship. They slam doors, argue, yell at each other at the same time and yet somehow always end up working very well together. Added interest is in the cases they solve, which almost always ... Read More:

With the first two season of "Moonlighting" now out on DVD, the demand for just the pilot episode will be considerably less than before. But there is still something special about our introduction to Dave and Maddie, especially since it is more fun to remember the beginning of the series than to recall how it all ended. Written by Glen Gordon Caron and directed by Robert Butler, the "Moonlighting" pilot aired as a two-hour television movie on March 3, 1985 (in retrospect the "in like a lion, out like a lamb" idea certainly fits this show). The chief charms here were both the amount of dialogue that Caron was cramming into the script and the sparks that were flying between the two stars. Little did we know there would be much more of both in the future. At this ... Read More:
