First watched this on the tv and was hooked. Excellent costumes and had me in stitches. Gave this a 4 only due to missing out the part where Amanda is asked to sing which on the tv she sang 'down town'. I believe this made the witty comments afterward confusing for those who have only seen it on the DVD, I also believe it missed out the crucial first signs of Darcy's affection for Amanda. However I still enjoyed it and will definitely be watching it again

The second season of Ideal, the best comedy from the BBC in years is here on DVD and is absolutely fantastic. Who would have guessed that a series staring Johnny Vegas playing a small time drug dealer in his Manchester flat while playing host could be so comical. The program is simple and easy to watch let still has hidden depth and meaning. Various plots and developments will keep you hooked and wanting to watch more. Ideal is unbelievably funny throughout, and a few scenes - such as Moz seriously tripping out on an overdose of magic mushrooms, will make you laugh till you choke. All of the characters are nothing less than genius. So perfectly acted, you'll begin to believe that your watching real people in their real lives. The silent Cartoon ... Read More:

Iv'e given only four stars for this first series as it gets even better each episode upto the last in series 4. I missed a couple when they were first aired so this was ideal - no pun intended, to catch up and remind how it all started. Excellent brave comedy that may not appeal to the masses, e.g. Little Britain - and all credit to the BBC, who else would make a series about a small time drug dealer with weird and wonderful punters, friends and neighbours? If you think Cartoon Head is a bit odd, later series it gets even weirder and totally surreal. Wonderful. If you havn't seen it (not everyone has BBC3) buy it - if you have - buy them all. Excellent.

I love this series and wish they had done more and think she is a fab actress. Makes me laugh all the way through and makes you sit up and look at your own life, but in a funny Bridget Jones type of light hearted way.

I only picked up on the Worst Week of My Life franchise when the second series was broadcast on BBC TV. I guess I'm fairly resistant to new TV comedy sticking with 'classics' like Dads' Army, Fawlty Towers and One Foot in the Grave. However, the Worst Week had me captivated after about 10 minutes. It follows the hapless Howard Steele during the week leading up to his wedding and involves ever closer contact with his bride's family, and in particular his Father in Law and his Parents in Law's dog (RIP).
This is classic British comedy in the Fawlty Towers school with almost hide-behind-the-sofa embarrassment as Howard moves from one hapless event after another. It's also absolutely brilliant. If you liked Fawlty Towers see this - it's as ... Read More:

This is my all time favourite TV program!! It is now available in the UK on DVD as well as this wonderful double video. Both from Amazon. This was the best TV program ever made in my opinion and I really miss it now it has finished. TV has never been the same since, I used to like Bad Girls as well but the last couple series were not very good at all so now there is nothing "excellent" on TV like this anymore. I really wish ITV would make another series of the Braithwaites or at least one more special one off episode! I am thinking of starting a petition to send to ITV and Yorkshire Television so anyone else who agrees with me and would like more of the Braithwaites please make your views known here or anywhere you can!!! ALSO, BUY THIS VIDEO OR THE DVD's ... Read More:

Fat Friends burst onto our screens in larger than life fashion last year, and british drama has never looked so good! For anyone who has ever attended wieght watchers and anyone who hasn't, there is a character you can relate to. All the characters are wonderfully layered and in typical Kay Mellor fashion and became became part of our lives. Each episode centred around one of the six main characters,(a bit like clocking off.)with the characters meeting every week at the slimming club. The one episode that stood out though was episode four entitled, growing pains. It stared the fabulous James corden in the lead role of Jamie. A young lad coming to terms with his parents separation while being bullied at school. It is a fantastic piece of television which broke my heart ... Read More:
