I bought te set in August from amazon.com. We live in Japan which is really slow at showing new programmes from the US and UK and in the summer of they were still showing season 3! We couldn't wait and weren't disappointed. The medical cases as really bizarre and the new situation of House creating a new team is highly entertaining (although Foreman's position is not quite clear and doesn't quite fit the new situation it seems ... and its a bit strange to see Cameron more smiley and jolly). You do lose a bit of fizz towards the end of the series (the new team don't have that snap crackle pop like the old ones). However, the last two episodes are brilliant! It's just a shame the series was so short. The extras on the DVD set are a bit better ... Read More:

I was a latecomer to 'House' but better late than never.
Hugh Laurie plays the miserable yet brilliant Dr. House with some style. You almost forget he is a Brit.
I have watched many hospital dramas - ER, St Elsewhere, Casualty, etc, as there is something uniquely engaging about the medical environment. Those series have been mainly dramas while House is something else. It's a part drama, part sit-com and part geeky medical show.
The basic premise involves patients being admitted to Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital with very mixed symptoms that complicate the medical diagnoses. House uses his talented young medical team to treat the symptoms but the patients usually take a turn for the worse upon treatment ... Read More:

After the end of Season 1, I found the first two episodes of Season 2 to be a bit boring, but by the third episode it kicks off really well. If you havent seen it you are in for a treat, without giving anything away, I thought that the best episodes were "the other 48 days" and "Dave". Can't wait to see what season 3 will be like :)

The first couple of episodes are thinner than expected and I wondered what I'd got myself into but patience is rewarded as the series develops: the plots improve dramatically and the actors settle in to their roles. Not as good as the HBO/Baltimore shows but it may evolve some more.

A police officer goes undercover in a prison to discover why inmates are disappearing at a fast rate. The investigation is going all fine and dandy until the serial killer that this particular cop caught is transfered therefore putting him in jeopardy and blowing his cover. Good thing the cop knows kickboxing. This is one of Jean-Claude's lesser efforts, it lacks the overall excitement of Bloodsport and Kickboxer as well as the visceral enjoyment provided by his later movies like Universal Soldier and Hard Target. The story itself is too routine and although at times Death Warrant has a grisly twist that give it a jolt, Death Warrant is very forgettable stuff. I myself enjoy a good action flick but I like them more upbeat and it's only the action sequences which make this ... Read More:

The New York Irish American organised crime genre should make great subject matter. Westies , TJ Englishs book about the Hells Kitchen Irish mob and State of Grace the fictionalised movie version of that book are both gripping and disturbing accounts of those gangsters lives. With this subject matter , the involvement of Oscar winning writers Haggis and Moresco and a well respected young cast this series should have been guaranteed to be a success.
Unfortunately it doesnt deliver on a number of levels. The acting ranges from passable to extremely wooden and none of the characters managed to engage me on anything more than a superficial level. To my admittedly untrained ears , at points in the episodes the characters Tommy and Jennys accents seem to veer from standard ... Let's say you bought the first series of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and good for you). You enjoyed it certainly, but thought it was perhaps a bit too short; or that Giles wasn't used enough; or that Buffy seemed just a little too invulnerable; or Xander was a little too wooden; or that Willow was little too pathetic...
Stop right there. Series 2 of Buffy improves on the 1st (admittedly still brilliant) season in just about every conceivable respect. For starters, from here onwards every season lasts 22 episodes (instead of 12), so you get nearly twice as much slayage for your hard-earned dosh. The fact that there are twice as many scripts mean new writers, shedloads of new ideas, and truckloads of outstanding monsters (Der Kindestod, Ethan Rayne and the awesome ... Read More:

Well, what can i say about Terminal Velocity? An odd piece that wants to be a combination of Die Hard, James Bond, Indiana Jones and Hot Shots at the same time. Dont get me wrong I like this movie very much as an action/thriller/comedy. This film is interesting, because it has a great score, beautiful locations and very good actors. Many people dislikes Charlie Sheen, but I cant understand why, hell the man is good. He is a very special "actionhero" because you cant take him too seriuos, but he dosent try to be serious, and thats whats make him funny and good at the same time:) Jim Gandolfini does his best character to date and the skydiving is spectacular, so dont miss this one!!
