Due to so many varied reviews on Amazon about the individual DVD's in the series,I will limit my comments just to say that this box set represents superb family entertainment whatever your age and is possibly one of the best value box sets around. As family viewing goes,it will keep the kids quiet for hours but the individual films are lengthy so spread your viewing over a couple of weekends to prevent over doing it.The movies themselves are great fun and with so many gruesome characters, make sure the more nervous ones in your family who are old enough to watch have someone to snuggle up to,just in case. This is an amazing film, top notch i have seen all of the trilogy and this film is possibly the best, ignore any one who has rated this 1 star and has said they have only watched 30min of it, the film goes on for awhile but that makes it all the better in my opinion, the cast is amazing as always with even more new characters, the effects are quality and has a great story, i strongly recomend this to any one who loves the other two films and has not watched this film yet, and to any film lover, because i think any one can enjoy this, but would be an easier watch if the first two films were watched first, but this is one of the best trilogy's ever made, if not the best. >>More Details

This is no ordinary DVD. This DVD ran me through a world of emotions and some of the things in it are simply mind blowingly realistic. Scrubs doesnt feel like a TV show the brilliant actors make it seem as if your actually there. Buy this DVD otherwise you will be missing out!! >>More Details

I'll probably be lynched for this heresy!... but I wouldn't recommend this one unless you're a diehard fan of one of the actors, or just a special effects geek. This film wanders around, without much of a plot, relying far too heavily on humour [!??] and special effects. I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but want to, but it destroys relationships, with characters betraying one another instead of standing together. If you are a fan of the Pirates series, this is a must-have. The movie is good fun, carried almost entirely on the shoulders of Johnny Depp, but the small amount of character development you see with Lee Arenberg and Mackenzie Crook (the oh so eloquent pirate) is a welcome development. If taking a rather dull Japanese classic and changing certain aspects, such as removing all the boredom, and replacing it with some bloody character development, then using the increased budget to improving things like the videotape instead of rubbish special effects (don't worry, I'll get onto Ring Two in a minute), and yet staying so true to the original is somehow boring, then call me John Smith in Grey. beige, beige, beige.
