One of my favourite films. This has incredible one liners, great slapstick, Bill Murray at his best and a really strange but completely great premise behind the whole thing.
I saw this a long time ago in the theater. I must say that I am not a big Hurley fan but this was the movie that made me into a HUGE Fraser fan! Yes, true, this is not "highbrow" and that is the point. It is entertainment. Here is where I was introduced to Fraser's signature "goofy guy" persona and I fell HARD! This is a fun movie that, if I remember correctly, most of the family can watch...Too bad about Hurley but, there you are, the guys had to have their "eye candy" as well...:):):)

I first saw this back in the early 80s and although it was indisputably crude and juvenile it appealed to my own crude, juvenile sense of humour. It sort of dropped off my radar for years until I got talking to a work mate about films we remembered from childhood and Caddyshack cropped up as a shared highlight. We then spent the next few weeks trying to drop in quotes from the movie into conversations and memos.
So it's difficult for me to be objective about this one. I can see that the jokes are mostly lame, the subplots are predictable and the acting rarely rises above the adequate. But I still can't help laughing like a drain whenever I watch it.
It's probably one for nostalgists who remember when we thought Chevy Chase was funny ... Read More:

I can only echo what other reviewers have said about this movie. Hotwire complains that it isn't in the same league as Hot Shots. Well, that's right, it's a totally different kind of movie. Hot Shots is built on the continual visual gags and movie piss-takes that have been apparent since Airplane, and include Top Secret, Naked Gun, Spy Hard, Dracula - Dead And Loving It, and a million and one other Zucker and Zucker movies. To compare this film with Hot Shots would be like comparing Psycho with Scream - they're both horrors but they aren't meant to be in any way similar.
This movie is one of the John Hughes feelgood films, and plays on the fact that Chevy Chase, as everyday hero Clark W Griswald, is what American and English kids find more embarrassing ... Read More:

I've just watched 40 minutes of this film and had to turn it off. This is the first time I've ever done this while watching a DVD. I had no interest in what was going to occur or how this film would end. It was disturbing to see a wonderful actor like Robert De Niro playing such a unfunny or unbelievable character as this. Clearly this film was cashing in on the early success of The Sopranos but doesn't come anywhere near the quality of the script of it. A disappointing film that was unbearable to watch.

Analyze That is not a good movie.Analyze This was not too hot either. It is only watchable due to Robert De Niro and Billy Crystal and eventually you grow tired of them and the predictability of it all.If you blink you may miss Lisa Kudrow though I suspect she was well paid for her efforts. The story of the heist was totally implausible. Also, I am wondering when Bobby De Niro will tackle a decent dramatic role again. He's not getting any younger and may regret doing all these comedies when all he is offered is Grandfather parts in Lassie movies. As for Billy Crystal, well he's always got The Oscars to fall back on. This barely got a cinema release in the UK. The DVD has special features including a documentary where the cast, director and producers tell you how funny ... Read More:
