This is a beautifully scripted movie which is also a visual treat. Lovers of period drama linked to a story about the theatre will be pleased with this production. It has charm, is so theatrically camp, and to the most, acurate in its portrayal of the period. The claim that "Churchill had advocated that Hitler posed no threat to the world" being the one historical faux pas. Nevertheless, old romatics will find this a lovely way to while away a rainy afternoon, it has all the hallmarks of 1940's & 50's matinee love stories, with great soundtrack and characters that shine.
