While Si is well drawn, and his situation is conveyed brilliantly (anyone who's worked in a supermarket perhaps knows someone like Si, and deffinately will know someone like Si's supervisor) the movie is let down by the shallowness of other characters and the slowness of the plot; The seemingly happy family Si becomes attached to (by living vicariously through their photos) arnt on screen enough, we don't know how they're feeling besides what their basic facial ... I guess I was a little distressed when I first wrote this review back in February '07 - my Ma had recentley died - and I was short of proper grief - when I found this DVD and the 'Hurt' video it kinda meant an awful lot to me. In no way was I ever trying to dimiss the body of work -I was just extraordinarily moved at the time...
In Feb 07 as a consequence I wrote:-
'I was viewing this dvd - when 'Hurt' came up - and I was transfixed.
A collage by Mark Romanek,a song by Trent Reznor,a performance by Johnny Cash.
Extraordinary.
More than the movie short, more than the lyric, more than the singer too.
Imbued with the simple truth.
Uplifting.
Life affirming.
Reassurring.
Comforting.

This time we have a collection from some music videos from the 90's, you can expect the following videos:
Bad Girl, Fever, Rain, Secret, Take a Bow, Bedtime Story, Human Nature, Love Don't Live Here Anymore, Frozen, Ray of Light, Drowned World/substitute for love, The Power of Good-Bye, Nothing Really Matters and Beautiful Stranger.
One more time, where is Erotica, Deeper and Deeper, I Want You, You'll see, This Used to Be My Playground, I'll Remember, and the Evita singles? (more 4 videos missing)

I just loved this collection of Janet videos and the best part of the DVD is live performances and interviews Janet did. One partuclar interview she meets up with a long lost pal of her that bit is so sweet. I would recommend this to anyone who likes Janet.
