Whilst the Writers' Strike left this season feeling a little empty, the quality of the show continues to shine through. The conclusion to the Sara Saga is excellently pulled off and will certainly bring a tear to the eye of the most faithful CSI fan. Some of the episodes are a bit poor - such as the story of the young lad who develops breasts - but these are balanced out by the other episodes.
Shame there's not as many episodes as there normally are but worth the purchase all the same.

I was a latecomer to 'House' but better late than never.
Hugh Laurie plays the miserable yet brilliant Dr. House with some style. You almost forget he is a Brit.
I have watched many hospital dramas - ER, St Elsewhere, Casualty, etc, as there is something uniquely engaging about the medical environment. Those series have been mainly dramas while House is something else. It's a part drama, part sit-com and part geeky medical show.
The basic premise involves patients being admitted to Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital with very mixed symptoms that complicate the medical diagnoses. House uses his talented young medical team to treat the symptoms but the patients usually take a turn for the worse upon treatment ... Read More:

the second season of the shield starts 4/5 weks after the first season ended. vic mackey's personal life is falling apart as his wife has disappeared with the kids!!! this season sees major changes for all the characters and some new faces on both sides of the fight. throughout the season the strike team are trying to get their hands on their "retirement" fund, which is mostly dodgy dealings which they are known best for. great writing, great acting and the real life feel is still there!!!

Season 4 of The West Wing is incredibly good. The writing is as sharp as ever and the characters are as likeable as ever. This season saw the departure of Rob Lowe but this did not harm the show in any way. There are some great cameos in this one notably from Matthew Perry and Christian Slater. The last few episodes are as good as anything you'll see in any TV show. Brilliantly written and perfectly acted, season 4 is a must see.

This film is another ludicrous film starring the two Wayans Brothers 'Shawn and Marlon' who have a habit of churning out moderately funny films. The title is fantastic but the film fails to live up to it's humorous title. Why does Kenan Ivory Wayans love popping up in his films? He is the least funny of the brothers but i understand that he is the man behind the cameras directing, writing and/or producing. The very unfunny Kim Wayans also makes an appearance as i believe so do a couple of other Wayans brothers.
If you want to see a funny Wayans brothers film watch 'White chicks' or 'Mo money' which isn't that funny but is a really good film. Also try to get hold of the old 'In Living colour' dvds.
I cannot add anything to the exstatic reviews elsewhere for all these series. I have never seen better police drama than this. But what is it about Steven Bochco series' and Fox? Saint Elsewhere + especially Hill Street Blues collected incredible numbers of Emmies and were groundbreaking productions that changed tv drama forever. Where are they ? One series of St Elsewhere in 3 years, 2 series of Hill Street Blues in 7 years and that's it. NYPD Blue - another groundbreaking drama series again garnering barrel-loads of Emmies. So where are series 5-11 ? No one asks, no one tells us what's going on ? Is it Mr Bochco blocking their publication ? Is it a character ? Given the incredible almost iconic status of these series there can be no commercial reason not to - any studio ... Read More:

In season 4 of this excellent cop drama, Vic Mackey now answers to Captain Rawlings (Glenn Close) who brings a tough new leadership to the barn. The strike team has split acrimoniously. Shane works vice, Lem works with juvenile delinquents and Vic and Ronny still work violent crime out of the barn. When gangster Antwon Mitchell begins to make Shanes life difficult, the team put their differences aside to put him behind bars or in a grave, whichever's easiest.
Whilst season 4 doesn't quite hit the dizzying heights of the three previous seasons, the shield is still far and away the best drama on the box. Anthony Anderson brings real menace to his role as the ruthless gang boss Antwon, possibly the strike teams most dangerous adversary yet. Glenn Close does a ... Read More:

When the second season of The Shield finally came to five I thought that it could never be as shocking, exciting, thought provoking and intriguing as the groundbreaking first season. But it was. The second season is a rollercoaster of emotions in which you feel for each of the characters as they fight against crime (the respectable and clean cut Dutch and Claudette), corruption (the supposedly corruption free and politically minded Captain of the station David Aceveda) and try to survive in the troubled neighbourhood of a Los Angeles area.
One of the best things about The Shield is its gritty and graphic realism. Many cop shows claim to be this, but The Shield is the only one I have seen that can really live up to the statement. The creator Shawn Ryan manages to do this ... Read More:
