This film remake, bares little resemblement to the wonderful,and absolutely hilarious original, starring, Jack Lemmon, and, Sandy Dennis.It comes nothing near. I love steve Martin, and Goldie Hawn, but, they are, let down by poor scriptwriting. I found this new version, slow and boring, with not much to laugh about. Where as, the original, is so fast paced, well acted, and has laughs from start to finish, and must be one of the best comedy films ever. Not one scene in this DVD will send you to sleep; and each second new plot twists are sent at you. This film you can watch over and over again without any problems and it will always keep you amused. Firstly, if you're from the UK or Europe, you will need a DVD player that can play region 1 DVD's. The four-episode story arc in the previous series of Moonlighting paved the way for things to come. Series (or season) 4 starts with one of the worst-ever episodes of Moonlighting. A Trip To The Moon indeed! This episode is painful. The script is terrible, and you can sense that the writers had no idea what to do with the characters now they had finally "done it". A major problem was Cybill Shepherd's real-life pregnancy (later written into the story). Her character had to be written out, which had Maddie de-camp to her parents' house in Chicago. The reason? what we have here kids is a fantastic feel good film that lets david spade be his usual loveable self and play around with other child actors!!! the general gist is that dickie was great as a kid and then lost it when he grew up...he then has another chance at fame if he can get into the new rob reiner film...the downside is that he needs to experience childhood so he hires a family to put him through his childhood for him a very silly idea i know but that is how this film works....its very silly and not much else!!! its great fun and fantastic entertainment if you want something lighter that you and the kids will be able to enjoy then this is worth a shot!!! >>More Details
