Season 4 of The West Wing is incredibly good. The writing is as sharp as ever and the characters are as likeable as ever. This season saw the departure of Rob Lowe but this did not harm the show in any way. There are some great cameos in this one notably from Matthew Perry and Christian Slater. The last few episodes are as good as anything you'll see in any TV show. Brilliantly written and perfectly acted, season 4 is a must see.

Very watchable especially for Ally McBeal fans of the series. Better than the soap operas we now have on TV - the characters are fresher, cleaner and more inspiring than the gloomy cast of down and outs in English 'soaps'. A few later episodes in this series become boring with added excessive shouting/arguing which spoils the style of 'Ally McBeal'. This multiple CD set prepares one for the next season of quirky characters who compliment each other well in the serious setting of a law firm, with occasional (surreal) flights of fancy.

Charlie Mackenzie (Mike Myers) has a bit of a commitment problem. It doesn't matter how perfect his girlfriend is, he finds some reason to end the relationship.
Then, into his life, walks Harriet Michaels (Nancy Travis). With just one smile, she melts Charlie's heart. It's love at first site, and Charlie is ready to leave his bachelor days behind him.
There's just one little problem. Reports are circulating the country about a Mrs. X who kills her husbands on their wedding night. And Charlie thinks that Harriet may be Mrs. X. Is he just coming up with another excuse not to commit? Or is he signing his life away by asking Harriet to marry him?

We watched this series first on t.v. and loved it. My husband and I found each other in the charectors, and it made us giggle to see ouselves stereotyped ( being only a couple of years married when we watched it.) The little looks that the couple give each other, the things they say to each other or don't say to each other! Madly believable, madly funny and madly addictive.
