This film appeals on so many levels - it's a farce, a sophisticated comedy, a gangster movie, a musical - some classic lines and probably a good contender for the best last line ever. Please watch this, it's that good.

Just watch 'heaven and hell' from the 2nd disc - surely this is some of the most stunning live performances ever filmed, thanks in particular to the one and only Keith Moon. Seriously, for any rock fan reading this you must buy this dvd! (then re-evaluate why current bands can't match this stuff for intensity). With Rog doing his mic lead twirl, pete with his windmills and john on bass it really does make all the bands of today seem like clueless tubes, compared to the mighty 'OO at their peak!!!

This will, most likely, be the last live performance of Genesis ever to be seen. In what concerns contents, a large part of it was a re-run of the Wembley performance, musicians line-up included. But the show itself was awsome. Some of the best visual effects (the 3rd disk shows how complex they were to achieve), fantastic stage, half a million people, state of the art camera shoots.
Music flowed from older to newer faultlessly, using similar bars and chords to make the transition (as in the 15+ minutes "In the cage" segment, ending with Duke's travels).
They knew it was their last live show and wanted to leave a lasting memory. They did.

After watching this show, not only you loose yourself in celine`s great voice and performance, but you also realise that this BD DVD is wrapped up in an unforgettable presentation of high quality imagery and sound, which really does make the show come alive in your own living room. I recommend this Blu-ray disc to all Celine Dion fans, but also to those who haven`t had the chance of getting to know her work on a closer level.
Go get it now !!

This is as described - a documentary account of the making of the Cirque du Soleil LOVE show in Las Vegas. To expect a complete performance of the stage show would be asking too much. The show, like any other designed for the stage has to be seen..er...on the stage.
We've all heard criticism of the soundtrack album and about how the sacred work shouldn't be played around with - BUT don't forget, it's a soundtrack to a show, just as this film is a documentary about the way that the show came to life.
One thing that comes over in the film, as in the show, is the care in portraying the main players (ie the Beatles) as having a great collective sense of humour. Something easy to forget all these years later.
Having seen the show twice now, I ... Read More:

Not heard the VHS Video in a while but this is so much better! Sound quality not the best on a DVD but a vast improvement on VHS. More songs, about 20 mins extra and Bono hasn't yet learned his stage craft. The Edge looks very un-rockstar as does Adam with his curly hair, Larry looks like he's still in (primary) school and Bono has the most ridiculuous hairdo (even by his standards).
I could have done without Surrender & Seconds but the rest of the songs are storming, from Out of Control through to 40. This is a very loud DVD, so turn it up and destroy the neighbourhood! U2 when they were little!

Sumptuously filmed in beautiful colours, and with a Dolby sound track that will have your upstairs neighbours hammering in rage on your ceiling with their walking sticks, this film presents a largely fictional account of Mozart's last years, and quite libellously portrays Antonio Salieri as Mozart's murderer. It's all about envy, God and getting your just deserts, according to one Amazon reviewer, and I suppose that according to this school of thought, the fact that it's a seriously inaccurate reconstruction of the past is besides the point. Mozart emerges as a highly precocious and slightly nauseating American kid with an irritating high-pitched laugh, brilliant at wowing the Viennese public, upper and working class alike, with colourful theatricals. His juvenile wifelet, also ... Read More:
