I had great expectations of this DVD and first impressions of the sparkling video were encouraging. Then came the 5.1 dts sound. This simply wasn't up to current standards. It sounded muffled with a peculiar fading in and out of instruments. The sound stage was compressed without any illusion of being in a concert hall, rather
lo-fi. I so wanted to be taken in by The Stones but found myself disappointed.

Just watch 'heaven and hell' from the 2nd disc - surely this is some of the most stunning live performances ever filmed, thanks in particular to the one and only Keith Moon. Seriously, for any rock fan reading this you must buy this dvd! (then re-evaluate why current bands can't match this stuff for intensity). With Rog doing his mic lead twirl, pete with his windmills and john on bass it really does make all the bands of today seem like clueless tubes, compared to the mighty 'OO at their peak!!!

This will, most likely, be the last live performance of Genesis ever to be seen. In what concerns contents, a large part of it was a re-run of the Wembley performance, musicians line-up included. But the show itself was awsome. Some of the best visual effects (the 3rd disk shows how complex they were to achieve), fantastic stage, half a million people, state of the art camera shoots.
Music flowed from older to newer faultlessly, using similar bars and chords to make the transition (as in the 15+ minutes "In the cage" segment, ending with Duke's travels).
They knew it was their last live show and wanted to leave a lasting memory. They did.

I discovered Pink Floyd quite late in life, but better late then never they say. This is absolutely my favourite DVD/CD. If I to choose between this one and all the others I have, this would be the one!

In the days where being talented is no longer a requisit to be a singer/songwriter, here is a total breath of fresh air from one of the most talented of them all, Paul Weller.
The prententious and talentless Robbie Williams should take a look at this DVD and apologise to everybody for the codswallop he has churned out.
Anyway back to the immensley talented Paul Weller, the DVD is a collection of four TV appearances, 3 live cuts and finishing with a TOTP section. Tracks include the brilliant You Do Something To Me, Changingman, Porcelain Gods, Broken Stones, From The Floorboards Up, Heavy Soul and from the Jam songbook In The City, Down The Tube Station and A Town Called Malice.
Its is absolutely excellent and I cannot speak to highly of it

A great film and another chapter in the fantastic life and career of Neil Young. This is the most relaxed Neil Young concert of the many that I have and is very reflective of his long career. Brilliant value for money yet again from Amazon. If you buy this make sure that you watch the special features DVD first, showing all the build up to the concert with the interviews and background information, it makes much better watching that way.

Like the other reviewers here I watched this on BBC Four and it was certainly an interesting documentary. In some ways one time confirmed Reaganite Neil Young went up in my estimation, although he is still comes across at the age of 63 as confused, self centred, and contradictory as a teenager - no doubt one of the reasons he has stayed musically relevant over the years.Unfortunately, the two most politically aware members of CSNY, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash, don't really get much credit. At the beginning of the doc CSNY are introduced as legendary anti-war performers, which I confess, as someone who saw them live in 1974, I found rather confusing, because it was in fact CS&N who were overtly anti-war.For those who doubt this and think I'm doing Neil Young down ...
