Led Zep in their prime 1968-1980, they had there chance for world domination, but they always wanted us to keep waiting for more. With little or no interviews, no singles, no videos, no live snipits on the old grey whistle test. They didn't count on their drummer snuffing it in Sep 1980. He unfortunately was the best part of the band. 27 years on they play at the o2 arena for just a few select people and couldn't even be bothered to release that on DVD. Good old 'you tube' helped out, but some guys shakey phone from aisle 150 just doesn't cut it. Then just when I thought it was safe there's jimmy page at the Bejing Olympics, fantastic (that'll be enough gigging for 2008 jimmy). Finally Robert Plant needs to wake up before he ends up in a retirement ... Read More:

Great ! Superb ! Fantastic ! I agree that picture could have been better, but music overcomes it all ! Something not seen. We in Croatia would say "prava festa" (true fiesta) for all of people in the venue: the musitians and the audience, and therefore all the people who watch it on DVD.... Really must have DVD.

The music preserved and presented here is top notch. Great singers, great players, great songs, sparkling performances. But this is a DVD (not DVD-Audio as Amazon are advertising) and so we must consider the whole package, and it's a flawed. I know that this was filmed and recorded a dozen or so years ago, but I have other DVDs with footage of that vintage, and this one does not stack up. The picture quality is grainy, and the soundtrack is mastered at a very low volume. I had my home theatre system cranked up to a point where it started distorting but could still easily talk over this DVD. The previously released, still available and cheaper Series 3 is a much better overall package - and gives nothing away in terms of musicianship and performances.

The combination of Benjamin Britten's powerful War Requiem, the poetry of Wilfred Owen and the acting and cinematography in this piece make for an intense experience. Jarman was not allowed to add a single word to the text of the requiem, yet he managed to make this work both a personal and a universal statement. Don't distract yourself with popcorn: give it your total attention. The images will haunt you.

This superb DVD contains an extensive docmentary on Donovan's career on disc 1 and some extensive extras on disc 2. The documentary is comprehensive and shows what a major figure he was in the sixties. The split screen business that others are mentioning really doesn't bother me. The present day Donovan does seem to have something to prove as far as his achievements are concermed, but this is all part of his amusing charm. Personally I do prefer his early recordings rather than his current mannered style, however there is plenty of footage of these on this set. A must-have purchase.

I disagree entirely with the reviews of this product.Although nicely performed there are too many similar sounding ballads & unecessary conversation.I found this made very bland viewing.Unless you're a fan of very traditional songs or a die hard folkie i suggest you give this one a miss.

This is a beautiful concert with the lit castle as the background. There is the addition of Hayley Westenra - a Kiwi who sings the best version of "Are you going to Scarborough Fair" that I have ever heard. The other singers also sing beautifully (Lisa Kelly is my favourite). Again, their version of Enya's "Orinocco Flow" is better than what Enya can producxe because it is played with real instruments and a beautiful backing choir.
Like their first DVD, it is great and I hope that they will make many more because I will buy them all.

If there is such a thing as perfection this is it. A sincere and very emotional performance, Christy couldn't possibly give any more. The quality of the DVD, both visual and audio is excellent. I rented this DVD from Amazon, now I'm going to buy it.
