One of the best films I have seen this year. I was hesitant and the negative reviews prevented me from bying the DVD for some time. I am very happy I finally took the plunge.

I've been waiting for this film to be released on DVD in the UK ever since it was recommended to me by friends in the US. I've watched it several times online and it's already become one of my favourites. It's a beautifully written universal story about choosing between the obligations of your family and following your heart, backed up by great acting, stunning scenery and a gorgeous soundtrack (Shane Mack is definitely a name to watch for the future). An instant classic.

I LOVE THIS SHOW and season 4 doesn't let the side down! With the ingenious addition of Cybal Sheppard and Marlee Matlin this season is seriously one to watch - if only to get you ready for the Season 5 ride!!!!
Basically, everyone else seems to have just said the plot of the film. I will say that this movie is one of the most beautiful, amazing films ever made and is best watched alone, with a clear mind. Heath Ledger is commonly said to have given a brilliant performance, which I agree with completely, on parr with his last complete role as the Joker. However, I do feel Jake Gyllenhaal is very underrated in this film, I love his performance, particularly at the start of the film, though his character's actions begin to get on my nerves towards the end, this doesn't take away from the magnificent ending, which could not be bettered. I have never watched it without crying.

When it aired in my country in the summer of 2002 and i loved it. it was one of the best mini series i have ever watched. i don't know if it was the subject, gay romance in 19 century England, but this is to this day still in my top 5 of most see mini series.
the plot, the script, the character and the acting are amazing. you can tell it is BBC made due to it's quality.
i highly recommend it and If you don't want to buy try and rent it from somewhere I promise it be worth it.

At the start of the film me and my partner got that sinking feeling when you realise 'yes, its another weird, awful lesbian film'.
It doesn't hold your attention, and the actresses can be extremely irritating, however, if you can persevere with it, we were surprised to find the ending actually quite good.

If you have been addicted to The L Word and QAF USA before it, Dante's Cove is right up your street! For the boys, well it's damn obvious why you would want to be watching this! And ladies, start with Season 3!!! Out actresses Jill Bennett, Michelle Wolffe and Jenny Schimizu are all on hand to provide much deserved lesbian action this season.
A dark force has arrived on Dante's Cove. Jill Bennett steps into the shoes of Michelle (previously portrayed by another actress!), brought back from the dead by the ever sexy Diana (Thea Gill from QAF USA). She causes havoc with charm and wickedness!
If this doesn't become your new guilty pleasure, i would worry about your health! This is a highly entertaining and fun TV series! (You may want to keep a remote control ... Read More:

I have only just recently got into The L Word and just love it! It manages to perfectly mix sophisticated wit, with genuinely touching story lines. The characters have such varied personalities, which for me adds to the attraction of the show.
Possibly focused on as the main characters, Bette and Tina have had a long struggle in their relationship, what with numerous problems trying to get pregnant, then a miscarriage, Bette's stressful and time consuming career and Bette's infidelity. I do however feel as if they have a sort magnetism to each other that will always throw them back together, a couple that are truly meant for each other. I hope they sort their problems out.
Although she may not be the 'main' character Alice is definately an all ... Read More:

I nicked this dvd off a friend who couldn't remember what had made her order it! The first thing I did after watching it (again!) was to tell her it was brilliant and she must get around to seeing it.
The twist(s) were fabulous and I love the way they've managed to keep the essence of the book going. You still get the story told from both protagonists point of view which helps to fill in the blanks and make you go 'ohhhhh... nice one.'
The movie is filmed beautifully with a lovely accompanying score. You believe you are in England of old and that the characters exist etc etc... thats all you can ask for in a movie, much less an adaptation! One of the few successful ones out there.
w2elcome to the second season of the oc, where things are definitely changing but maybe not for the good. new faces arrive to stir up new adventures and some old faces depart Newport Beach for even sunnier destinations. summer has found herself a new beau zack and over the course of the season both zack and seth battle it out for her. ryan comes home and the marissa-ryan on again off again continues with the usual disaters especially when big brother trey gets out of jail and wrecks havoc in newport beach and sets his sights on marissa. more scandal, more secrets, we love it!!!!
