The series of books on Hornblower is a classic in the sea-adventure-war category. The movies are very well made, with a good cast (perhaps, I see better Crowe (or similar "macho", like Owen) than Gruffud in Horatio's "shoes", but thats' all) good battle and sea scenes and a good "reproduction" of the original books, better than Sharps's series.
A this price is a real bargain. A question: this version has subtitles ??? Soundratcks in foreign languages ?

Please note that this DOES NOT include Sharpe's Challenge. Despite being informed previously, Amazon continue to advertise that it does. There are several other suppliers advertising the same - perhaps they are all getting their text from the same place. But I can confirm 100% that the Amazon description is incorrect and that Sharpe's Challenge IS NOT INCLUDED. Score is based on site listing not the product.

I first saw this film in the cinema, and am so glad it is now out on DVD. As a big fan of war films, Female Agents is easily the best of this year, with cracking performances from all the main leads, especially Sophie Marceau.
Set in 1944 during World War II, the film tells the story of four women resistance fighter given the mission to rescue a British geologist. Based on a true story, the action rarely lets up with a fantastic script complemented by gorgeous cinematography. Watch out for the subway scene - it's a classic!

300 is a really well done and historically correct film - although the Persians might not like the fact that their entire army of thousands was slain by only 300 Spartans. It therefore was banned in Iran.
300 features impressive battle scenes and is visually brilliant. It also is quite violent but nowhere near its bad reputation. Battles are in the spotlight here, so don't be expecting too much of anything else.

WoW, what a thoroughly awfull film. Historically inaccurate, badly acted, terrible script and a very cheap rip of of the clive owen "king arthur" movie.
I would quite happily give away my copy to anyone sad enough to want it.
If you are looking for something that can equal kingdom of heaven, gladiator, braveheart or king arthur, keep looking, this is certainly not the movie you're looking for.

I believe Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders told the story of William Wallace more accurately than antipodean Mel. Also the disembowelling scene at the end!. Only an arrogant Hollwood leading man would think that a mere grimace was in order before yelling the word "Freedom". Tragic but fun. Cant believe it won Oscars. What were they thinking.

9/10 for picture, clear and crisp from start to finish, from the subtle forests of Europe to the sharp deserts of Arabia, very good, very nice resolution's in fantastic 1080p
10/10 for sound, blew me away, excellent
10/10 for the movie, great acting, Bloom especially, and the legend that is Leeson, very entertaining great for a Saturday night, but very lengthy and you really have to sit down and watch it to take in the aurora and environment of the film, i think whoever you are and whatever movies you like you will enjoy this ( unless of course you're prejudice against all races) :)
