Deja vu is a good watch spoiled a bit by it's dodgy execution. I came away feeling I'd watched two short films both with Denzel Washington in them that had been stuck together to make one feature.
The plot revolves around Washington's character Doug Carlin investigating a bombing on a ferry in New Orleans. One of the bodies that washes up is that of beautiful young woman who is missing four fingers (this is important later) but it turns out couldn't have been a victim of the ferry blast istself as forensic evidence points to her death being some two hours before. This leads Carlin to investigate the young woman's relevenace to the case.
It's at some point around here that the FBI introduces itself to Carlin and more ... Read More:

If you can get this on 3 for 2 like I did don't hesitate. The upgrade from the standard DVD is incredible. Hellboy feels as close to 3D as you can get on the format. The colours are vibrant and the image jumps off the screen. I was amazed by how life-like everything looked and watched in awe as the special effects sequences spellbounded me. This is for my money one of the top FIVE releases on Blu-ray. The visuals will impress you and the story is great too. The sound is equally impressive and the extras are many (too many for me to watch) I can't wait for Hell Boy 2!

I watched this movie based on the Amazon reviews here so it's my own fault really!
This is a souless mish mash of popular action films of days gone by such as The Karati Kid and Fight Club, deliberately targeting the Dawson's Creek audience. The acting is of Dawson's Creek standards too, lots of school kids who look 30 trying to be all grown up while having terribly one dimentional angst issues and who like to film school yard scraps with their mobile phones to be posted on the web.
But the main aim of the film is to show fighting action and is therefore based on the UFC 'style' of fighting. This here was the main problem with the film: Isn't UFC fixed? Another extention of the Wrestlemania phenomina? Is it possible to get odds at ... Read More:

I'll probably be lynched for this heresy!... but I wouldn't recommend this one unless you're a diehard fan of one of the actors, or just a special effects geek.
This film wanders around, without much of a plot, relying far too heavily on humour [!??] and special effects. I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but want to, but it destroys relationships, with characters betraying one another instead of standing together.
Not a 'Feel Good' film, and not a PATCH on Pirates I, Curse of the Black Pearl.

Okay so here is me a huge spidey fan (of the comics) and this film dispite what meny say is NOT as bad as meny claim.
Quite frankly i enjoyed it but it needs that story telling drive it had in two and even flawed one had that as well 3 just missed in it my eyes.
There was too meny storylines and only so much time to play with but you see thats my main thing with the film the villains... well that and emo dance petey but mostly..... Venom.
Ah Venom.
He is and most likely always will be in my eyes the king of comic book bad guys its a shame they used him for min or two and BOOM gone.
The storyline was kinda stupid also but if you can get past the flaws its a good superhero film at least rent it give it try.
have seen this film more than a dozen times and it never stops to amaze me.. the perfect film combination of a history lesson, action/adventure, suspence and romance, cant believe that the oscars of its year missed it.. many great characters with most given relative depth, and a daniel day-lewis perfectly casted, establishing himself after winning the oscar for my left foot and showing of what is to come from him: in the name of.., gangs of ny, the crucible, there will be blood more recently.
A superb multi-layered story, hard and bloody at times but also soft and romantic.. one of the best music scores ever on film (!), visually stunning with breathtaking picture and cinematography, one of these films that makes u think "thats what cinema is all about".. heroic, poignant ... Read More:

I dont wish to say too much about series 3 and 4 except to say it follows in the tradition of the first two series. Enhanced by a new barmaid and an airman who is disguised as a French Police Officer ("Gud Moaning, I have a massage for Ronny") it remains a laugh a minute throughout with some hilarious episodes. For instance, tunnelling into a prisoner of war camp, a barmaid disguised as a nun being flown through the air on a kite, German Officers desperatly trying to avoid the Gestapo Officer Herr Flick getting his hands on the real painting of the Fallen Madonna with the big, well you know what I mean. When are the remainder of the series being released though? Hope its soon so I can complete my collection.

This is as good as all the reviews claim. However we still need to wait for the Shogun Redux version since this is NOT the complete version. There remain many scenes (I recall four vividly) which would deepen and extend the experience; turn it, if you like, from a concerto to the symphony it first was. It is a pity it is described as complete when patently it is not.
