Having loved the original Fantasia I was desperate to see this when it came out at the cinema so I remember dragging my dad along to see it. It did not disappoint and I recently saw it again and remembered every sequence although it had been eight years since the first viewing! There is not one bad sequence in the film and the music as always, fits the animation perfectly! My favourite sequence is the Rhapsody in Blue set in New York City - perfection.

1) the songs are awesome. "Gaston" had me chuckling away.
2) the animation, especially in the snow and the forests, is just amazing
3) you can read as much depth as you want into the story.
Unlike virtually every other fairy tale, especially disney stories, belle isn't a princess. She's not even all that poor. She's a middle class girl in a rural environment. And the thing that she likes most in the world? Reading. how awesome is that? she doesn't just fall in love with the main guy in town, she goes for the guy with the biggest library. Similarly, the one who really learns his lesson is the beast, for being mean to that old woman, who was in fact a witch. So the ... Read More:

This second season of the Justice League animated show improves greatly on the already very good first season with some truly excellent tales of adventure. As with the previous season this season includes twelve stories each of which is split into between two and three episodes per story. As well as this, this season also includes a single episode Christmas story which is actually surprisingly good for a seasonal episode.
If anything the writing for each of the adventures has greatly improved with some truly great stories being tolled this season, all of which are funny and exciting while still having space for some nice serious and touching moments. The animation is somewhat improved from last season but it is still sadly average for ... Read More:

Even though this film is over 60 years old it hasn't aged a bit. It still retains it's magic, sparkle and entertainment value. I first saw this at the cinema when I was in my early teens and even though I've seen quite a lot of disney films in my time, nothing comes close to the experience of the pure sounds and visuals of this film. Disney exceeded himself when he made this and I believe he has never bettered it, regardless of the advancement in technology. If you've never seen this I would highly recommend it. Children and adults will find different aspects of enjoyment in this film, but both will enjoy it on many different levels. This is a true Disney masterpiece, very different to the types of films the Disney studio tends to churn out these days.

Released in 1935, George Cukor's adaption of what Dicken's claimed was his favourite of his novels is an absolute gem. Cukor has assembled a wonderful cast to tell the story of David from his chilhood to manhood and the sometimes harrowing adventures he has on the way. There are many unforgettable charectarisations most notably W.C. Fields as Micawber, Edna May Oliver's Aunt Bessie, Roland Young as the sceming Uriah Heep and Basil Rathbone as the downright unpleasant Mr Murdstone. Freddie Bartholomew as the boy David is actually far more effective than Frank Lawton's portrayl of the man David who is rather bland in the role but that is certainly not enough to spoil the film. A huge box office hit in it's day the film was produced by David Selznick (and was nominated ... Read More:

Gargoyles has to be the best show produced by Disney EVER; the animation is superb, the writing brilliant, the voice acting unbelievable and the plotlines fantastic.
It wasn't just another run of the mill Saturday morning toon, this show had depth and meaning which made this show all the more enjoyable to watch on each run; each time you watch through this series I'm am certain you will pick up something new which you had missed last time.
Children and adults of all ages will love this show, the characters, their lives and the stunning New York backgrounds. Delicate themes like gun violence, hero worship, grief and death were handled masterfully by the Disney team to create a series in which the characters mature and grow as each episode goes ... Oh my, I tried to remember the title of this cool animated film and could only remember Orin so I was happy when I found it here. They dont make films like this anymore maybe if they did there would be less chavs and anti social behavior instead of our youth wrecking bus shelters they could be home watching this lol! 80's was cool I think I was 7 when I first saw this and that was 20 years ago so am looking forward to watching this again. I recommend The Last Starfighter, Neverending story, Teenage mutant ninja turtles (not the bollocks 2007 version!)

Watching these cartoons is a real trip back to the early 80s. The animation is about average for the time, and the sound is mastered in that popular 80s "Boom-o-Vision" - does every charachter really need an echo voice?
The thing I didn't remember is how much pink and purple is in this thing. Pink sky, pink castle, pink clothes, pink, pink pink! He-man's alter ego is dressed in pastel purple tights with a pink shirt. Wow. That can really be taken the wrong way today, but I guess pink was in then, wasn't it? Still, you have to wonder what poor Eternian creature gave up fur for a purple loincloth.
The disc itself is Excellent. The animation quality wasn't the greatest when these were new, and they pretty much look and sound just like I remember. The discs ... Read More:
