I'll start of by saying that I'm a fantasy/sci-fi and action fan, I'm not entirely sure why I picked this film but it was listed on my recommendations so I thought I'd have a look and read the reviews. After just watching it I'll say I'm glad I did.
The acting is great, especially considering most of the cast are children. It has a simple yet effective story line and every bodies roles was thought out and executed wonderfully. I recently got this DVD for my birthday, and we all had a great time watching it.
This DVD collection (also on blu-ray) contains all of Pixar's short films from The Adventures of Andre and Wally B (1984) to Lifted (2006). Although many of these shorts have appeared on home video releases of Pixar's feature length films (be it VHS, DVD or Blu-Ray), this DVD is still well worth it because not only is it nice to have them all available in one place, but also to experience Pixar's earlier works such as Tin Toy, Red's Dream and the aforementioned Andre and Wally B. Great film - wonderful photography, but the 'plot' was:~ ? ... Anyway, it was obviously for children, but I'm not sure what they would make of it ...

beautiful movie, based on the theory taht dinosaurs lived even after teh meteorite struck the earth. the decision to combine real life landscape with computer animation fits erally well and i think add to the story

Depending on when you were born, The Clangers dvd is either going to be 5-star knockout brilliant, or minus-several-million-stars 'what the heck is this?' rubbish.
There's just a chance that if you didn't grow up following the antics of these animated characters then you might still be captured by the innocent delight of knitted pink mousey things which live on a blue moon and hide under saucepan lids. However, I suspect that it's one of those cultural moments which might pass later generations by, so if you haven't seen The Clangers before then you should rent rather than buy, just to see if your sense of humour stretches to blue string pudding and the Soup Dragon. First, let me say that Shaun the Sheep is a great TV show for kids of all ages. However...
As an expatriot Briton living in the US I am constantly baffled by DVD manufacturers' insistence on producing kids TV titles in region 2 format (so that they can only be viewed on region 2 DVD players). Sadly this is the case with such classic children's TV shows as Shaun the Sheep, The Clangers, Mr. Benn, Ivor the Engine and The Wombles, and it makes it hard or virtually impossible to see these TV shows outside Europe. Region 2 format was intended to prevent people from buying videos abroad before their domestic theatre release - this is hardly going to be an issue with children's TV shows - especially ones that have been shown on TV for up to 40 years! In the old days parents with very young children used to go the cinema to watch live action fantasy adventures, wildlife documentaries and cartoons. However after "Toy Story" everything changed, mum and dad suddenly had the option of chuckling at a subversive movie wrapped up in kid-friendly day-glo colours. Whilst there have been plenty of great CGI movies since Pixars debut (most of them from that studio) it's nice to see a film with real moving actors from time to time and so Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium has arrived to fill that hole perfectly. It isnt a brilliant movie in its own right but it is a perfect family one.
