My son loves it as much as I did. He refers to it as the "fire-engine" DVD. Great stories, fab music and a sense of real life that keeps my boys interest.

I've always had a soft spot for funny animated films, and these are 2 of the best ones that you will ever see. Shrek and Toy Story led the way with films that appealed to kids but did not neglect the adult audience with elements of humour that ensured the older person would enjoy the movie as well.
The star of the show in the 2 Ice Age films is most certainly Scrat (the squirrel-rat), he is an absolute legend!! His short moments are the funniest without doubt, but the other characters are very likeable as well, most notably Sid the Sloth. This double pack is a real bargain, as there are some decent extras on the DVD's as well. The rumour is, that Ice Age 3 will be released next summer and I am looking forward to the ... This film is not a very famous disney, however it is one of mine and my sisters favourites!

I watched this and enjoyed it. It has disney animated stories, although, I wouldn't say they were favourites! - Disney always produce good stuff, and this is no exception.

I watched this with my two teenage daughters and husband we all really enjoyed it. Just totally different form most kid/teenage films. My advice is to not read any review who gives away the plot because it will just ruin the film. (Box of tissues a must).

After watching Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas(which I thoroughly enjoyed),I decided to also buy it's sequel(being a lover of all things Christmas and Disney).
It was only when I bought it,I realised it was computer animated... (This was also the first time the Disney characters were seen in 3D animation). 'Oh here we go'...I thought to myself. I usually find that when Disney uses computer animation(apart from Pixar,which is obviously brilliant),it takes the charm out,so I really dreaded seeing how awful this was probably going to be. The animation is incredible: the facial expressions, the body movement, the play of light, the attention to detail takes your breath away. Add to this a superb soundtrack, and you realise why it got such good critical reviews.
It is a traditional story, but has been told without so much of that awful syrup and candy so beloved by Disney and, I regret to say, Pixar. The mock 'reality program' slant was inspirational, as was the cutting forward to dialogue that explained events in the past. Sorry folks, you have to pay attention to this film. You are not spoon fed the story like Disney and Pixar do. You require some brains to follow the story line. This DVD was good value for the price I paid.My son adores all things musical & singalong so I thought this would be great,he really enjoys the songs he knows.However,there are quite a few songs which are not so popular & so he rapidly looses interest.The good thing about this DVD is that you can pick which songs are played.I highly recommend this DVD for children aged 3 & above.My son is a little younger so may explain the lack of interest.Overall an entertaining DVD,but no replacement for Jim Jam & Sunny.
