I bought the R1 version of this, hence why I know what's here :)
Today's British kids may know some of the Sesame Street gang if they have watched Elmo's World, Play with Me, Sesame, or the newest edition showing on BBC2 NI, Sesame Tree, but it's just NOT the same. I may sound like a nostalgia buff here just muttering about the good old days, but even those who last saw Sesame Street here in the 80's can tell you that Sesame Street proper is an entirely different animal, with a greater variety of learning topics and tools at its disposal.
It is for this reason that I have, for the past few years, collected various of the R1 Sesame Street dvds, and while excellent, they are basically stand alone specials, and not the ... Read More:

Was totally stunned by the quality of the picture running at 1080p! Only the second bluey I've thought better than upscaled DVD. Good to see the disk space used for the main feature and a few little high quality extras - not the usual rubbish that you honestly never bother watching.

I LOVE this movie!! It was one of the first Disney christmasmovies I`ve ever bought, and I watch it several times every year.
My favorite is "Mickeys christmas carol", it`s just the ultimate christmas movie. When Scrooge wakes up on christmas morning, takes a walk around saying merry christmas to everyone, and in the end where he delivers lots of gifts and food for poor Bob`s family, it`s awesome... :) I`m not that big a fan of the build-up around these short movies, mixing the new clubhouse stuff with old classics, but that`s such a tiny, tiny little piece of this, and it`s not THAT bad. "Pluto`s christmas tree" and "The Nutcracker" are also great classics. I think your inner child has to be well dead and buried ;) if you don`t ... Read More:

I resisted going to see this film at the cinema as it didn't seem like my cup of tea. But after a colleague kept going on about how great it was, I gave in and watched it. I wish I hadn't bothered. I really cannot see what all the fuss is about. Now, if you've read any other DVD reviews of mine, you'll know I do like superhero films, sci-fi films etc. But Transformers really left me cold. It didn't keep my interest at all, but I had to watch it through to the end just to see if it got better. I'm afraid it didn't.
There's no doubt that the special effects are impressive - but I just thought this comic book origination didn't translate well to screen. I can't really put my finger on what turned me off, but there was so much about it ... Read More:

From the theme music, i'm taken straight back to being a small child. I'd forgotten all about this programme, until someone at work reminded me of it. The memories came flooding back. They just don't make children's programmes the same as this anymore.

This film has a very similar feel to the first movie. It moves at a similar pace and the story is just as mediocre. Its not a bad film by any stretch of the imagination, in fact, when in a certain mood I can happily watch this movie and enjoy it. However, just like the first film, it is nothing special but just about keeps you interested enough to watch the next installment. I like fantasy and escapism movies and although this is not as good as the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy or as funny as 'stardust' ... it is still better than others such as the terrible Eragorn.
If you like the first film, even just a little, you should like this aswell. Slightly above average movie.

This is a good one, featuring some of the later 'earlier' Pat stories.
Now, what I want to see, is the very earliest Pat stories on DVD, I actually prefer the man's voice doing the women voices on the early stories and cannot believe that they are still not available on DVD. An oversight that surely must be put right soon!
