In typical Warner Bros style, an excellent animated series, poor release treatment!! There are no extras what-so-ever, plus the episodes are in the incorrect aspect ratio of 4:3, rather than the 16:9, of which the series was produced using. So with these in mind, I give this release, 2 stars.
Hopefully, the second half of this series will be released in the 16:9, so we can see the series as it was meant to be, along with some decent extras, though from knowing of the many WB poor releases, I very much doubt it!!

This is the more "Child Friendly" Spin Off of Doctor Who unlike the adult version of Torchwood, Being a Fan of Doctor Who and Torchwood I thought to give Sarah Jane Adventures a chance and I did and I have always watched it on CBBC, This show has been proven to draw: Child, Teen (Myself being one) and Adults (My Mother Exibit A), Elizabeth Sladen and her Child Companions Maria and Clyde with her adopted son Luke attract Aliens etc. The Series was really good my favourite being Warriors of Kudlak and The Lost Boy, The New Series currently Showing on CBBC is showing real promise even though they replaced Maria it still carries on, If you are looking for a change from Torchwood and Doctor Who or something to entertain you while the shows are on a ... First of all, let's laugh at the adults moaning about this film being 'terrible' or 'shallow'. Apart from being entirely wrong, they also seem to have forgotten that this ones for the kids!
There are really two points of view that matter here; the kid that watches the movie repeatedly and the adult that has to put up with it! On the first account my three year old son has been watching this for at least a year and still loves it. Multiple viewings don't seem to have tarnished it much at all and the opening three minutes still make him giggle with delight.
For me, as the suffering adult, I'd still give it a high rating. The animation is stylish, the casting perfect and the script funny. As has been mentioned in other reviews, the penguins ... Read More:

when asked what my favourite film is ill invariably say disneys Robin hood and the blank looks on the questioners face normally is just a comon occurance that until they have seen the film they dont understand why its so good!
Children and adults alike will love this film, ok the graphics are dated but for 1973 they are very good, the story is jolly, heart warming and a great take on an old fable.
The characters are all animals which makes a change, they are all voiced amazingly and fitting to the animal in every way! The film isnt long but with small children thats ok and the music gets stuck in your head for a good day after seeing it!
Its a definate classic for families and for the disney lover this is a must have. ... Read More:

The show itself is not that great, the girls can't really sing live and I can't understand why they really wanna sing Every Heartbeat with the endless (dis)harmony intro. It's really cringe-worthy but not as bad as the unplugged version on a B Side they did.
Anyway, the design of the dvd is really top-notch. This is what the Tangled Up album should have looked like. The front, back, the great booklet, all fantastic pictures, design, colors, fonts....so why stick the album with such a ghastly look?
Every screen of the menu has instrumentals of the album tracks and it makes you really wish they'd release these separately, you really get to appreciate the music that is the background for these great songs.
All in all worth 4 stars, mainly for ... Read More:

First up, it is absolutely entertaining. I'm not a huge fan of musicals but there are so many good tunes here, taken from popular culture and reworked, in a kind of moulin rouge style (but with penguins). The songs are numerous, high quality and very catchy, especially with the ace tap dancing and "choreograpy". To a lesser extent, the chases involving various penguin-eating animals are good too - they are predictable, of course, but still breathtaking.
The complicated second half contains some thought provoking dark material. There is a similar tone to the better aspects of the third "Matrix" film, as Mumble sets off alone on his impossible quest, with no plan except to reason with the unknown ... Read More:

Another great Barbie film and addition to the collection, the songs were quite poppy and very catchy and as usual there is a clear moral to the story. My daughter loved it and can't wait for Christmas Carol to come out!

My daughter is 5 and she loves all the Barbie movies. We have them all on DVD and she watches them a lot. Sometimes kids films are hard for an adult to enjoy but the Barbie ones are all so well done and written that I don't mind watching them with her. This is a re-telling of the Charles Dickens story and they have adapted it for young girls. There is no grim reaper style spirit and they don't show the character's death so it is much nicer. Heartwarming tale about the true meaning of Christmas. Any little girl would love this movie.

This is an entertaining movie with behind the scenes features and would have been better off without adding that there is a 3D part to it when there isnt. I bought this DVD hoping to get a good movie and a real 3D experience, but the 3D is really poor and is definatley not worth wearing those plastic "3D" glasses for about an hour and a half. Reccomended if you are a huge fan of HM and MC though!
