OK the FX of Tron are nothing to todays. But this film shows the level of CGI in 1982 the extra features illustrate how the FX are achieved and what a struggle this film was. Also the extra features tell the story of Tron from its earliest incarnations to the finished film. The film itself is not only a great story but it shows the level of computing at the time. Tron is in fact an Antivirus in a world before antivirus programs were even thought of.

After quite a few disappointing movie rentals, and being none too impressed by the more recent monster/action films to grace our screens, I decided to try out a classic.
My interest was initially perked up by the fact Kiefer Sutherland was in it. Being a bit of a fan, and liking the premise of the film, I decided to buy the double boxset of the film (it works out cheaper - even if the 2nd one is a bit naff in comparison) and I must say it's one of the best films I have seen in ages! the second season of the shield starts 4/5 weks after the first season ended. vic mackey's personal life is falling apart as his wife has disappeared with the kids!!! this season sees major changes for all the characters and some new faces on both sides of the fight. throughout the season the strike team are trying to get their hands on their "retirement" fund, which is mostly dodgy dealings which they are known best for. great writing, great acting and the real life feel is still there!!!

Cheesy, corny and totally daft but really enjoyable all the same! The first movie is the best of the two but both are easy to watch, fun and the music is pretty good too.

I was hoping for a good British gangster movie but this isn't. A lot of people like Sean Bean but I always got the impression it was somebody acting. The driver was well played and, as usual, the film went up a couple of notches when Tom Wilkinson appeared. As well as the acting the poor script let the film down.

TRUE ROMANCE is a very good film. It's brutal and funny and has an excellent cast - that is with one exception: Christian Slater is a total miscast in the lead role. Otherwise it's got brilliantly staged action scenes (I like it when the pimp gets it). Finally released in its UNRATED version in the UK (rather than the cut R Rated as on VHS).

Entertaining, but also contrived and overdone. Cary Grant's manic zeal is ultimately tiresome. NB Screwball comedies of the 40s are an acquired taste.

What a great series Silent Witness is and it is still going strong. In fact I watched an episode of the new series last night. This 2 disk dvd contains the first series.
The first story Buried Lies is a strong start and introduces us to Dr Sam Ryan played by Amanda Burton. The plot concerns the death of a young girl who is thought to have fallen from a swing and drowned, Sam has other ideas. Next up is Long Days, Short Night. This was the first episode I ever watched and features Colin Salmon (Tomorrow Never Dies)as a man suspected of a ritual killing. Ken Stott stars in the next episode Darkness Visible. Sam investigates a custody death in a police cell. Could there be a cover up ? The final story Sins Of The Fathers is about a charred body found in a Vietnamese restaurant. ...
