Highly underrated movie that should have won oscars for everything from the direction to the screenplay to the cinematography, to the camera work, to the editing to the haunting and dramatic music score. This film has it all and it all comes off superbly well even if it is a little predictable in places.
This is also Gene Hackman at his stupendous best. A stunning performance that is arguably one of the best of all time--to be honest I like him here even more than I do Brando in the Godfather. He steals every single scene and he knows it, putting a riveting performance in its own right by Willem Defoe almost but not quite in the shade. Hackman's secret could well be that he never gives the impression that he's acting, but that this ... Read More:

On the one hand, Misery is an excellent film. Many - if not all - of the characters are well cast, and very true to the book.
However, it has far less depth than the novel. For example, the book being written inside the book/film actually has a great deal of reference to the situation the author finds himself in, obviously basing the book around his life as Annie Wilkes' hostage.
In summary, read the book first. The film is pretty epic on its own, but it could have been so much better with the addition of a few extra scenes depicting the content of the novel being written, which would have shown more of Annie Wilkes' persona and added a great deal of irony to the situation.
Bet your sick now(saw 1 and saw 2 reveiws!!!!) Well the only thing i can say is this. its the best gore of all the saw movies. boy oh boy. in this installment you are greetedwith the hellish "Venus Fly Trap". There is alot of horrible torturing devises including the "Angel", "Shotgun Face" "Ice Women". You Will See. Defnitley a must see

Although the show itself deserves a 5-star rating, I had to give this sale 4 stars because of the price. I have been a fan pf the Sopranos from the very start and can watch all seasons over and over again. However, after buying this on amazon for almost £120 I then saw a deluxe version box set (with extra footage and special features) for almost half the price! Nevertheless the show is brilliant, the DVDs are fantastic quality so it was well worth the money!

This sequel to the rescuers was something special to disney, as this is the first sequal of feature animation to also become a feature. This is currently the only sequel to date to become a feature; this shows disney had great expectations and faith in this film.
This film has a similar story style to the original film, where a kid gets captured and its up to the rescue aid society to come to the rescue. The character cast in this film is amazing, and the animators do an incredible job at portraying emotion and expression through them.
This film also, as many may not know, include disney first 3d visual effects in 2d animation. There is a flying sequence at the start which is actually 3D which at the time of release was breathtaking, and was ... Read More:

This is not just a movie. This is a mind-altering experience. I saw 2001 as a fifteen year old when it was re-released in the winter of '76 and I remember leaving the theater not quite sure what to think of it but convinced it would have a tremendous impact on my life. And, indeed, as with the reappearing monolith, each time I watch the film (unfortunately, not in the spacious, magical dark of the theater - why don't they show it there at least once a year?), I discover yet another aspect of its deep content. Kubrick takes you on a journey that leaves you entranced; a slow, Zen-like, visually stunning trip through a timeless universe where man gets a glimpse of his true objective. A hopeful message. From 1976 on I dreamed of the year 2001, hoping that it would bring us all the ... Read More:

I saw the first 6 episodes of this show when it premiered on Channel 5 - I admit that I am a Gary Sinise fan, that's why recorded the first few episodes - but what I saw on tv I hated. It made no sense. Then this year I got the box set and with a degree of trepidation started watching and I was suprised by how much I liked it.
I wondered why I didn't like it when I first saw it, so I dug out my videos and took a look, and discovered that the first episode had been edited to 26 minutes in length (the 2nd was 32 minutes, the 3rd was 29 minutes), once I saw this I realised that the heavy editing of Channel 5 had ruined the show.
I was glad that I had watched and have watched them several times since, I admit that the later seasons are much improved on season ... Read More:

Isn't it great when you discover a programme yourself without any hype and end up really liking it. Love it or hate it, I don't think that there is anybody on planet earth that hasn't heard of CSI, but when I first saw this one Saturday night on channel 5 in either 2000 or 2001, I had never heard of it and I don't think many people had, this was one of those programmes that I accidentally watched by channel hopping and I just really enjoyed and thought how fresh it felt.
It is not always true that original is best but in my opinion it is definitely true with this because CSI: Vegas is by far the best of the CSI series, I still like CSI Miami but I have tried and now completely given up on the extremely boring and shallow CSI: New York, I just find it more like a fashion show plus everybody ...
