There's not much more to my review than the one word title I just gave it. Occasionally touching music from Aerosmith (for Steve's little girl) but the last 20 minutes are dreadful and are so quick-cut that it's like watching an MTV music video that just goes on and on and on. The kids puppet show Space Patrol Space Patrol : The Complete Series (6 Disc Set)handled the very same script much better in the 1960s and - unlike Bruce Willis - Captain Larry Dart of the Galasphere 347 manages to place the explosives and get off the damn rock before it explodes! So much for comparisons of Bruce and a small 60's wooden puppet, though...

Everyone seems to have reviewed the Steelbook Amazon Exclusive version of this. I actually prefer this version and it is the one I bought. For one thing I feel that cramming all the discs into one small case means that it gets lost on the shelf amidst the rest of your DVD collection. A substatntial box means that it has more of a presence up there, and also it's not AS big as the original 2001 release so it's still slim. This is due to the extremely slim individual cases, which I prefer than having all discs in one case because each story gets its own front image filling the square and nice images and synposis of each one on the back. (this is contrary to the product image above which makes the case appear as if its the same size as the 2001 release). ... Read More:

My Dad had shown me a few of the Pink Panther films when I was little, and when I got The Pink Panther (2006) on DVD, it was only natural that I'd go on and buy this, and I wasn't disapointed.
What you get is 5 Pink Panther films featuring Sellers;
The Pink Panther, stars David Niven as The Phantom, who sets out to steal the Pink Panthern Diamond. It is up to the bumbling Inspector Clouseau to stop him. This film is weaker than some of the others in the series and has a distinct 60's feel to it.
A Shot in the Dark, finds Sellers in the lead role trying to solve a murder. The action and comedy is much stronger than the first film and this is reguarded as one of the better one. It also marked the first appearance of Kato and Inspector ... Read More:

CSI New York is brilliant. After the season three finale (snow day) I was expecting great things from season four. It didn't dissapoint at all it was fantastic. I've watched it on TV and will eventually be getting season four parts 1 and 2 box sets. The episodes that stood out to me from season four were Down the Rabbit hole, Boo, DOA for a day, Taxi, and Hostage however I enjoyed all the episodes. There was a wonderful mix of storylines and mystery. Although there has been the writers strike it hasn't affeted CSI:NY too much, it has only been cut short by about 2 or 3 episodes. Higly recommended, all I can say is roll on season 5.

My wife and I are half way through the second series of 'The Sopranos'. We both really enjoyed series one, but have already become a bit bored with series two, since it doesn't seem to take things a great deal further than series one did, and we both agree that we probably will not bother getting further series, even if someone lends them to us - luckily we borrowed series two. I have given this DVD three stars since the acting is good and the stories are okay. I've watched series one of 'The Wire' and 'Oz' and series one and two of 'Deadwood' and 'Rome' and think that all four of these HBO series are better than 'The Sopranos'. For far better on-screen Mafia antics than 'The Sopranos' has to offer, I would recommend the first two 'Godfather' films, 'Goodfellas', ... Read More:

And once again, little old Jacobi is back to the charge with the promise of
more yuks and huyuks than ever in the rip-roaring, funtastic,
abso-bloody-lutely awesome series, Cadfael -- well, not really.
And I might as well say "well" with the good ole Jacobian emphasis (try
WE-e-E-elll), as we're in for more Jacobian smirks than ever, ranging from the
sad, beady eyes of a French bulldog to the glittery expression of a Lutheran
heretic centuries before his time.
So, may we say that Cadfael ranks among the greatest British series of all
time? Let's have a closer look...
I - Elementary, my dear Oswin...
I somewhere heard someone comparing Cadfael to Sherlock Holmes -- God
forbid! Upon reading ... Read More:

I used to think that I liked SciFi and action movies. Then I eventually realised, after watching hours of tosh, that in fact I don't like most SciFi and action movies at all. I turns out that I only like good SciFi and action movies.
Rest assured this is a good movie. It may not be in the league of the Bourne identity but it is way above the usual rubbish. And what makes this particularly good as a DVD are the extras which give an interesting insight into the world of snipers and Mark Wahlburg himself.

There's no doubt that 'Lock, Stock, and two Smoking Barrels' was a magnificent example of a new film maker at his creative best. With Snatch though it feels like Guy Ritchie found his comfort zone and set up permanent camp there.
The film contains some very clever dialogue, and many of the characters display a deep philosophical intelligence you don't expect from a thug - this brings humour and style, but it also seems as though the film tries a bit too hard to be 'Lock, Stock...'.
Jack-the-Lads, guns, snappy dressers, and uber-cool lines initially grace the screen nicely, but it eventually comes clear that these are being shoe-horned in to build a trendy flick. But when you can see through it - it just doesn't work.
'Foyle's War' is one of those marvelous BBC productions that tells the tales of England during World War II. It is set in Hastings, East Sussex, near the beaches of South East England, during 1942 and 1943. Foyle's War tells the story of Christopher Foyle, played by Michael Kitchen, Detective Chief Superintendent, whose job is to keep the peace on the home front during WWII. Helping Foyle is Detective Sergeant Paul Milner, played by Anthony Howell. He was a policeman before the war and lost a leg in a fierce battle and returned to the force by the urging of Foyle. Samantha Stewart, a beauty on her own, is played by Honeysuckle Weeks and is a member of the Mechanized Transport Corps. She is conscripted to drive for Foyle. She sticks her nose in police business and it turns out she is also quite good at helping ... Read More:
